Approval over weekends

Hi,

Does anybody know if the examiners approve passports on weekends ?

I’m getting very close to my travel date which is 28/05 AM and my documents were finally received on 19/05 12pm. Looking through other peoples timelines for a adult renewal it’s roughly 2 days after for approval. Just wondering if there is any chance it will approve this weekend or is it only working days.

Not sure if they do on weekends howver if your flight is so close I would consider the upgrade option.

Has your application moved into processing yet? It will move into either Processing-Digital or Processing before it would live to approve.

Digital route it is usually approved within 2 days, then a further 2 days for printing and delivery.

If it goes into standard processing you could be waiting as long as 10 weeks (I’m currently on 8.5 weeks in processing stage).

Yes, they approved my application yesterday (Peterborough) waiting on it to be dispatched now.

Do you have a timeline for your application by any chance ?

I believe mine it with Peterborough too so would be interested to know when you sent and had docs received etc ?

Also did you do your own photo ?

Yes they do – mine was approved on a Sunday

Received your passport yet? Mine was approved on Saturday so hoping to receive it this week for travel on Sunday! Not great with the bank holidays though.

You should get yours by Friday. Mine was approved on a Saturday and came on the following Thursday

@Jules66 – still no passport. Will be 10 weeks since applied on Wednesday. I’ve resorted to emailing my local MP.

17 days now until we fly!

Mine was approved last Saturday 28 May at 6:36 am and is in printing now.
