Arriving at Passport office when I need an interview?

My documents were sent to Peterborough, have been marked as received.

I fly on Thursday, and so was planning to drive up early tomorrow morning – but I’ve just been asked to book an interview.

I’ve emailed to book this, but am not expecting an interview to occur, and the passport to be delivered on Wednesday for my flight on Thursday.

Just want to check from someone that Peterborough are able to do the interview stage if I turn up? It’s about a 6 hour round trip to drive there and back…

From what I e read in here it’s not guaranteed. They do interviews at Peterborough but there might not be one free to do your interview. I have read on there though that someone managed to get an interview via zoom when turning up at the office so it is possible. How long has your application been in for now? If it’s over 10 weeks you might have a better chance. You’ve got nothing to lose so I’d definitely go. Hope it works out for you

Thanks for the reply – that’s a great help! As long as there’s some chance, it’s worth the drive – so I’ll give it a go and see how I get on!
