Central Printing vs Local Printing

I have just been advised my son’s passport renewal (urgent and compassionate application) has been removed from Central Printing and sent to Local Printing as there are issues with delays at Central Printing at the moment. It has been sent to local printing at Liverpool and i wondered if anyone else has been advised their passports have been sent there? Local print is only used for Urgent /fast track applications apparently…If anyone has used the fast track/ or urgent , how long did it take? I fly on Friday to see my sick father in law with my children.
