Is the 1-week fast track service really 1 week?

As the title says, given the current delay in getting a regular passport, how long is it really taking the 1-week fast track service? Is it still being delivered within the week or is it taking longer?

I believe they are meeting them it’s just a case of actually being able to get an appointment for the service. From what I’ve read on this forum when appointments do become available they are several weeks away.

I had my appointment today. They said it will usually be 7 days, 10 days max. I’m meant to be going on holiday in 2 weeks so let’s see what happens!
