@jesspop30: I will be watching with baited breath what happens to you, as you seem to be few days ahead of me.
Although, it seems there is absolutely no rhyme/reason to the individual cases

I am hoping to hear something by middle of next week. Will update when I have an update. I’m a frustrating as people who apply after have already been approved and also I’ve done other passports that were all sorted within 2-3 weeks, so no idea why this one is taking so long

I just called the office again and was told that my passport was actually seen by an examiner on the 21st February and is waiting for print. Which isn’t what my application says at all so I’m very confused.

If that is the case it’s been waiting 2 weeks to be printed rather than 2 weeks in processing. Honestly I’m so confused by this entire system.

Lauraf1991, I would ring again tomorrow and see if they say the same, as surely if it’s waiting to be printed then it’s been approved and technically should be showing on you application

Just got the email that my new passport is on its way! Hoping it will arrive by Tuesday! I rang them almost every day for the past week so I think they must have gotten sick of the calls and sped it up (haha!). Fingers crossed for everyone waiting

Hello new member here to calm some nerves (hopefully!)

my 1 year old darling daughter ripped my passport up last month and unfortunately I did not realise you could fast track a damaged one.

anyway to little to late I had already sent my old passport off before I realised my mistake! hey ho.. We are due to travel to Dubai on the 17th of March for my wife’s 30th birthday (the trip has been booked for ages!)

anyone have any advice or an idea of when I Should expect to receive my new passport?? really really panicking now. I have phoned them 50 times over the last few weeks and sent a letter explaining situation!

Another day goes by with no update. But I did receive a reply from the passport office to the first email I sent on Feb 22nd saying my passport is currently being looked at and they will be in touch if they need anything else.

I feel like I’m banging my head against a brick wall. And still nothing from the progress team.
