Ours have been in processing over 2 weeks… it’s as if you get added to a pile and new ones are placed on top rather than the bottom of the pile. It’s actually infuriating- if this was a private company they wouldn’t get away with it!

Monday was 14th
March 17, 2022 at 9:08 am #9913bgm00ParticipantI’ve just rang again.
The lady said that because mine has been printed there is no way of cancelling that passport so I cannot attend the fast track. It’s disgusting that I’ve only just been told this after the amount of times I’ve called.
So after paying that extra money to guarantee I can make my holiday there is nothing I can do. Has anyone got any suggestions for complaints procedure etc? I really don’t know what to do about my appointment today.. part of me thinks to go as I’ll probably hear a complete different story from them. It’s disgusting thst I was previously told all I would need to do is bring a withdrawal letter to my appointment – I was never warned what would happen if it was approved. Disgusting process.March 17, 2022 at 9:31 am #9914jellyj4ParticipantThank you Crazy8, yes it was Monday 14th but unfortunately I can’t edit it (and also can’t work out how you quote a message either 🙈)

March 17, 2022 at 10:01 am #9917amy93ParticipantHey! Hope everyone is having a lovely morning (or as good as it can be given passport stresses)
I had an update yesterday afternoon that I wanted to share with you all in case it’s of any help! Hoping to hear feedback about the new photo soon. My photo was rejected because there was a little bit of hair covering my face (top of my forehead), so I went to the local post office and got a digital photo code using the Photo Booth. Fingers crossed this means they’re looking at it!

March 17, 2022 at 1:22 pm #9936pavilion89ParticipantSo my partners new passport arrived today. Mine is still at the “documents received” stage and has been since 10th March. We both applied and sent our old passports on the same day, to the same passport office. I just don’t understand why there’s such a big difference?
I’m waiting for a call back… was told within 24 hours but we will see lol
March 17, 2022 at 1:27 pm #9938isabelParticipantMy passport was approved on the 12th but still hasn’t been printed. I just got off the phone to HMPO and they advised that after approval, printing is now taking up to 1 week (was previously told 1 working day). They said that it can then take up to 5 working days to be delivered
March 17, 2022 at 1:38 pm #9943djbdaneParticipantIt seems there are delays creeping into printing now – up to a week for printing and up to 5 days for delivery – potentially adding in effect two weeks to applications – something to bear in mind. Due to demand increasing apparently.
March 17, 2022 at 2:23 pm #9946meganmc23ParticipantHow long after peoples passports were approved were they delivered? Mine has just been approved today( very relieved) but I travel 4 weeks tomorrow and had booked in an emergency appointment next Thursday. So just checking 4 weeks will be enough for them to send and print it, or if I should stick with my emergency appointment
March 17, 2022 at 2:32 pm #9947Crazy8ParticipantDue to demand increasing apparently.
Ah, where are the good old lockdown days !
