I have just received the passport printed notification for my daughters renwal!
Nothing on TNT yet though but I’m hopeful that will happen later today like it did for my other daughters renewal last week (Hers went to Durham and they have been about a week faster than Liverpool the whole way through).
We are due to fly early Thursday so I just hope now that TNT get their acts together!
Here’s the history if anybody finds it useful:

Application received 5:00pm on 28 February 2022I have just had a phonecall back directly from Liverpool with regards to an urgent and compassionate travel application put in after i had sent off the papercopy. They took some time to acknowledge receipt of the evidence i sent, and this was put through as a standard application and approved on Tuesday 29th. The passport was sent to central printing and the examiner advised there is a large backlog of passports due to problems at the central centre itself on top of problems with the volume of passports which is causing long delays. She has pulled my passport out of the system and put it in to local print in Liverpool, which she hopes will be printed today or tomorrow. I have been told so many different things, i’m struggling to believe what is true and what isn’t…
sjb1980, keep checking TNT. I had passport printed notification today at 11.30 and my passport is due to be delivered on Monday as per TNT
Sjb1980 Tik Tak my wife’s passport is waiting for TNT since early Wednesday and mine since yesterday morning, tried to check with TNT but does not recognise the PEX numbers. Did you get notification from TNT and a different tracking number?
For anyone else in the uk unable to get their passports and missing flights due to the total log-jam and poor customer service in the Passport Office, please note I have started writing to newspapers and the director general Mark Thomson. If they hear about this from multiple sources they might actually publicise what’s going on… ie complete meltdown in the passport office! So please join me and write something to the email addresses below and let the journalists know the horrific stories occurring as a result of passport office incompetence! Also send something to your mp… the more of us who do something the more likely it will get publicised…

@l10nrd, I was the same as TikTac, no notification at all from TNT, I just used the PEX number. It took a few hours from receiving the email from HMPO to say it had printed to it showing anything on TNT’s site though.
I had printing notification today. Tracked on TNT delivery due Monday but I changed it to tomorrow. What is the chances it comes tomorrow? There is no tracking updates on it.

I’m sympathetic to the people who do have processing delays, but I don’t think the situation is really all that bad.
The stats on this site show the average time from application to receipt to be 24-31 days, which is well within the advertised 10 week window.

I changed my delivery on the 31/03 to today the 1/4 and it came this morning at 9am!
Once they have scanned it through and collected it usually it’s pretty plain sailing from there! So if you have changed it i’m pretty confident it will come tomorrow! Good luckHi Everyone,
This website helped keep me sane during the most stressful two weeks of my life! So here is my timeline for the Liverpool office.Please bare in mind i was late sending the documents off. Royal mail delivered it to the HMPO on 14 March 2022. So from them receiving it, all in all took around 2 weeks and 6 days.

Aidy – so glad you’ve had a nice smooth application! Some of us have been sitting in processing for 4 weeks, never mind the 2 weeks to receive documents or the two weeks to start processing. Seems to be quite a few on this forum in the same boat as me …. Holiday moved as we are supposed to be going tomorrow
