Managed to get in contact with the upgrades team on Friday, who took my details and told me to email the peterborough email address with the evidence of travel. Said i would get a call back in 24-48 hours to take payment for the upgrade to fast track. Get to Wednesday and still no phone call so i called them. After ringing 3 times, and the first 2 people said they ‘weren’t allowed to forward me to the upgrades team’ Finally got through to someone who directed me straight away. I was told that the reason my application hasn’t progressed for 6 weeks, was because they didnt have evidence that I cancelled my last passport (even though i did). I asked why No one had bothered to contact me and ask? She said it was only flagged a few days ago. Gave her my old passport number and she confirmed that it was cancelled. – Not sure why i needed to help them confirm that when it’s all on their system. Was told to email the Peterborough Upgrades team again and was told i’ll have a call back to take payment in 24-48 hours.
How long did everyone else have to wait to pay for their upgrades? Once i’ve paid i’ll feel like the ball is rolling, and a lot less anxious as I fly on the 20th!
