She said it was Easter Tuesday which apparently is a thing… news to me and I’ve worked full time for a good 15 years of my 32 year old life. She actively told me agents lie to get people of the phones I couldn’t believe it! I did tell her I have no confidence in her information given my experience and will see what happens tomorrow. I will be seeking compensation for this whole fiasco.
aimeejoy89ParticipantJust to update everyone, the agent I spoke to Saturday promised I’d get a call Tuesday and confirmed the passport had been printed so I have made arrangements to fly Tuesday night. I have just had a call from a call back logged prior and this agent said the upgrade team isn’t working Tuesday and the passport hasn’t been printed!!!!! Safe to say I lost it with her and she actually told me ‘agents lie to get people off the phone’. This I will be logging in my complaint. The incompetence is nothing like I’ve ever experienced before.
aimeejoy89ParticipantI finally got through 🙌🏼 It may not be what I wanted to hear but something is better than nothing. I can finally accept it’s not coming but it is at print and on Tuesday should I get the call back I’m promised I should be able fast track it for collection same day or delivery Wednesday. Finally some useful information
aimeejoy89ParticipantI’ve spoken to an agent she’s put me through to the ‘upgrade team’ I have however been on hold well over an hour. Starting to think the department doesn’t exist and it’s just a ruse to give people false hope.
aimeejoy89ParticipantI’ve been told numerous times they are in the office but it makes me wonder if they are just processing upgrades to clear the back log and not taking on new ones. Either way they’ve had my details for nearly 2 weeks and they’ve not got back to me. The not knowing has been torture. I think it’ll be Tuesday now before anyone gets a call a call.

aimeejoy89ParticipantI lost hope big time today I broke down to the agent on the phone. We travel 18th April (this Monday) and not one person has got back to us referencing the upgrade.they initially had our travel details 5th April the day they rejected our fast track in person by not taking our withdrawal letter. I discovered we had been given the wrong email a week after and got the details over to the correct email 11th April I have today finally made peace with the idea it’s not going to happen. Just wish they wouldn’t suggest there’s hope where there isn’t any. We’ve been in limbo for 2 weeks but had they of told us early on the upgrade wasn’t possible I could of made alternative travel arrangements but now I’m left with no choice but to lose my holiday. I’ve had zero correspondence zero support and zero contact. They’ve had my money for an online application a fast track application and had me travel 3 hours north for an appointment backed up with the wrong advice given by an agent. I’ve had absolutely nothing in return I’ve not moved forward in anyway, It’s been relentlessly traumatic.
aimeejoy89ParticipantSpoken to several people today currently on hold to senior management have been for nearly an hour. We fly Monday 18th April and we’ve had no communication we have no idea what’s happening other then these people taking our details and our date of travel. Lived in limbo for weeks now and I’m well and truly broken. We get given a glimmer of hope but then days go by without contact and the hopes just lost and back at square one no further forward. Dare say this holiday hasn’t been worth the stress the frustration the upset or the anger. But here we are.

You’re not wrong it is so painful!

aimeejoy89ParticipantI’ve emailed daily called daily and just not getting anywhere. Spoke to Keith today unbelievably rude demanded I told him where I got the number from. I give up the system has broken me.

aimeejoy89ParticipantI’ve called today the agent said the application was with the examiner and we should stay close to the phone. She also said examiners have been calling up to 9:30 of an evening. Not sure how true this is, either way I’m stuck to the phone.
Once the examiner calls payment is taken and the application is approved printed and despatched the following day for next day delivery. Given we travel on 18th we’re really clutching at straws but holding on to any slightest bit of hope right now.aimeejoy89ParticipantMy partner was given Peterborough email when he attended a fast track that was rejected because she wouldn’t accept the letter of withdrawal. Came to light 4 days after he sent the email to Peterborough that it should of gone to Liverpool where his original application is being handled, given it was the same agent that told him where my original application was being handled that he was handed a written note with the Peterborough update team email along with what i should send.
Its an absolute mess. All these delays caused by them and them only now I will be travelling alone with just my 4 year old daughter. He went for his appointment Tuesday with his withdrawal letter his completed application and his photos only to be told his online application hadnt been cancelled and there was nothing that could be done for him.
We were specifically told by the chat agent that all we needed to do was take a signed letter requesting the withdrawal of his online application and the office would accept that.
So someone here is wrong and given so many other people have followed suit successfully my guess is its the office agent in Peterborough.
We have now accepted that he will not join me and my 4 year old daughter on holiday on the 18th April.
I did save the chat and will be pursuing a complaint to get a refund. The system is an absolute mess and the degree of incompetence is unbelievable. -
