I’ve just looked on the maps and the London office is in the middle of London 🤦♀️ Don’t even think that’s drivable/parkable 😬 looks like it will be a train journey there 😩
amber9514ParticipantI’m wondering if they are sending them to local passport offices to handle 🤔 I’m over 3 hours from Newport 🤦♀️ My closest is London, I might try going there and seeing if anyone can help, would love to hear back this week so I don’t spend all of next week panicking 😩

Mines definitely in Durham so can’t afford to drive there and get turned away or told to come back as it’s 5 hours away from where I am so in total a 1 hour trip 🤦♀️ I’m just going to hold out hope that they will look at mine by next week 🤞

amber9514Participant@jessicab try this number 0300 105 0850 or try 01633 285419 I’ve used both numbers and mange to through, sometimes have to wait a while but I don’t bother with the main line anymore, hopefully they have sent yours 🤞

I called this number 0300 105 0850 I called bang on 8am and got through in seconds, keep chasing them and see if they can do something, it’s ridiculous your having to wait this long!! Really wish you good luck 🤞

My daughters is still waiting to be seen, I applied by paper application through the post office (something i regret) I sent off on the 23rd of March, I received a text on the 1st of April to say the application has been received and to wait up to 10 weeks. I have never had anymore updates from them, when I called up for the first time I was told they received it on the 4th which apparently was because they moved it from Belfast to Durham. To get any updates I have to ring and ask but still to this date nothing has changed all they say is they are waiting for it to be looked at. I was able to upgrade from sunday 1st of May which I was told on the phone I would be called within 1-2 days, I called the progress team today for a check up and now they have changed it to a call 48-72 hours before travel 🙄 seems to be changing constantly. When do you travel? Keep chasing them, I never got a reply the first email I sent to upgrade but the second time I used what someone else said and I got an automated reply, if you haven’t had one it’s worth giving that a go
amber9514ParticipantAhh that’s brilliant news I can collect at my local one! I spoke to the progress team this morning and it was them who told me I couldn’t but I’m sure when I speak to the upgrade team they will print it local if I request it. Wow I can’t believe they have left you till the day you fly to collect 😱 I leave at 4am Sunday so would need to get my daughters no later than the Saturday 😬 seeing some of these positive upgrades gives me a glimmer of hope 🙌
amber9514ParticipantI’ve spoken to someone this morning from the progress team. They have changed the way they are doing the upgrades now, instead of contacting within 1-2days they are now contacting in date order of travel and are contacting people 48-72hours before departure, I leave on Sunday 15th and he said I’m likely to get my daughters passport on Saturday the 14th 😬 it feels way too close for comfort, I asked if I can collect from my local passport office which apparently I can’t as it’s getting printed in Durham, I’m thinking of taking the 10 hour round trip to collect it (if I’m lucky and do get it printed in time) as I’m too worried about leaving it so close in the hands of delivery drivers.
amber9514ParticipantIt’s so unfair 😔 the whole system seems a shambles. They need to put in a proper system of how to deal with applications rather than just accepting people at random and leaving others in limbo for ages! I’m not holding out much hope after seeing how many people have been let down. For those who are still waiting good luck 🤞
amber9514ParticipantNo haven’t had a call but I got an automatic response exactly the same as Daniels. I no it’s not a guarantee upgrade but the relief knowing they have atleast acknowledged it has really made me more at ease 🙌 I’m going to call again tomorrow and just let them no I’ve emailed from a different email address from the one on the passport form not that it should make any difference but just so they no. If you haven’t had an automatic reply definitely send the email exactly how Daniel said, I got an instant reply. It’s so strange how it works, wish I had tried it from my normal email but didn’t want to risk it going wrong again as I don’t want to send to many emails and them get annoyed and not do the upgrade. Just trying to do everything properly so I have more change of getting my daughters passport back in time 🤞

I used my other email address just incase which I’m sure will be okay as I no they contact by phone anyways, you are a life saver 🙌 I put the phone down at 2 hours of waiting once that email worked, I feel a lot better now. Again thank you so much and anyone else reading this that needs the same please take this advice 🙌

I’m just hoping it’s okay I’ve done it from another email address but I’m sure that won’t matter, ahh your a life saver 🙌🙌 I can’t remember giving my email address to the upgrade team or not when I applied, ahh I’m so pleased to have the automated response 🙌 anyone else reading this take the advice it definitely works straight away!!
amber9514ParticipantAhh brilliant thank you, I will try that now, I’ve been on hold now for 1hour 42 mins 😩 I’m sorry if this sound stupid but I don’t want to get this wrong, what does Expedite pec mean? Is that my tracking number? I’m going to write the email out now, I’m preying for an automatic reply 🤞 I’m going to use my other email aswell just incase that works better, thank you again for your help 🙌
