    Has anyone else had a photo rejected? How long does it usually take from rejection to approval? 🙂

    How long after sending a new photo (once it’s been rejected) do they usually get back to you?

    Hey! Hope everyone is having a lovely morning (or as good as it can be given passport stresses)

    I had an update yesterday afternoon that I wanted to share with you all in case it’s of any help! Hoping to hear feedback about the new photo soon. My photo was rejected because there was a little bit of hair covering my face (top of my forehead), so I went to the local post office and got a digital photo code using the Photo Booth. Fingers crossed this means they’re looking at it!

    New photo received. 3:08pm on 16 March
    Photo rejected. 2:18pm on 16 March
    Application being processed 1:21pm on 1 March
    Documents received. 8:43am on 28 February
    Application received. 12:30pm on 13 February
    Application submitted. 12:29pm on 13 February

    Jellyj4 hope it arrives soon!!!!

    Bgm00- I think you need your old passport for the fast track (I may be wrong) – your best bet may be just to wait for the passport to arrive – its been approved, don’t think it’s too long now.

    Not sure on your money :/ may be worth giving hm passport office a call and asking (if you Google the number pops up)

    Leahmca did they ask you to redo your photo? I did mine myself too in front of a white wall

    Leahmca – Sucks that you had to reschedule your holiday 🙁 I can empathise with you hun, I moved mine as well to the end of April. Hoping I won’t have to move again! It’s not worth the stress you’re right – it’s awful that we have to go through this… after the last few years we’ve had!

    Jespop30 – absolutely it’s not on! If I get spoken to like that I’ll hang up!

    I’ll ring that number again tomorrow and see if it’s been assigned an examiner… hope I don’t get the rude man!

    If it’s approved at odd ours of the night, do you get a text at that time? x

    P.S. Have emailed my local MP just to make them aware, and hopefully put pressure on to try and fix the system / allocate resource to a proper process. It might not help but if enough people make some noise x

    Frustrated_1 🙁 That sucks! I was thinking the same, surely there’s a way to escalate as it’s getting ridiculous. Would you just escalate to your local MP?

    ADgrams – yes some of the staff are really rude which doesn’t help at all! I’m nothing but polite when I call, and sometimes I get a, ‘It is what it is, can’t tell you anything’. – The mental (and physical) tolls this sort of stress takes on us is not ok, it’s not great in the spirit of wellbeing either.

    Really hope everyone gets good news asap xx

    @Frustrated_1 – I call this number: 03001231973 (in case it doesn’t let me type it, zero three zero zero one two three one nine seven three) and I say ‘I want to check if my passport has been allocated an examiner’ and give them my PEX number. So far it’s not gone to examination 🙁

    Jespop30 – When I asked they said it’s usually with an examiner for a couple of days, and at that point, if they need more info, they’ll ask you for it. It speeds up once it’s with an examiner. I have heard horror stories of course 🙁 x

    In my head their system is a whole room full of bags and they do a bloody lucky dip each day!

    Hope everyone gets some good news! Fingers and toes are crossed!

    Mine is still processing but what I do now, is call and ask if it’s been assigned to an examiner yet. So far the answer is no but hoping soon it will be a yes!

    Once it’s with an examiner it’s a quicker process (so they say!).

    Lauraf1991 – hope it comes asap!
