@Annak can you not travel to passport office to sort out? Think this maybe ur only option.

Angadsingh1ParticipantI’ve posted on here a few times as I was so stressed with the whole situation. We are due to travel on the 25th May my hubby sent passport off for a simple renewal by post 6 weeks ago as couldn’t get appointments for the day service. I’ve continued to chase it up, sent email to Durham upgrade team last Wednesday as advised as it was 14 days before we travel, no response so I sent it from my email on Sunday and got a automated response. No call back or response. My hubby decided as a last resort he would travel to Durham (4 hour trip), he left at 5am this morning. When he arrived he said there was a queue for people with appointments and another for non appointments. He was 7th in the queue of non appointments, was seen within 30 minutes. His passport is being printed, he’s collecting at 1pm!!! Can’t believe it. It’s definitely worth going to the passport office.

to go, trying to keep positive even though hubby has given up. After numerous calls, email to upgrade team- with automated response we’ve not heard anything. Hubby going to Durham on Tuesday to try to resolve the Matter (told him to beg for it be sorted as it’s a simple renewal) he thinks am mad- he’s very laid back!! Like you Moore88 i have no confidence in the service- it’s an absolute shamble.Angadsingh1Participant@PBC19 you heard anything?

Angadsingh1ParticipantI just rang for an update, they said that I have to just wait to see if the upgrade team pick my email up. She said all it says on there system is that on the 9.5.22 it was being processed. She told me not to email upgrade team again or ring as I would clogging up the system. She said they will try to sort it out. We travelling on the 25th May. I think I will chase it up mid next week now. Not much I can do.
Angadsingh1Participant@ahussain I did read on hear that someone did and they were seen however some were turned away. If you really worried I would go, even if they pass on a message will demonstrate the importance.

Angadsingh1ParticipantI don’t get why they have an upgrade team if they not processing them on time. To make people wait until a day or two before or even hours is awful. I’m going to go to passport office which is Durham office as that’s where mine is saying it’s being processed on Monday if I don’t hear anything. Nothing else I can do.

Rang and rang the advice line at the end of last week which was a nightmare as you just can’t get through. Finally got through to someone on Tuesday after trying to call for 5 hours. after ranting on she put me through to someone who gave me advice to email upgrade team with all the holidays details. He said I would hear back within 48 hours. Nothing yet. The money of £85 has been taken from my account. So stressful for the whole family. Do the upgrade team contact you or do they just send you your passport. Confused??
