Mine was processed last Tuesday as a standard application, but should have been processed as an urgent and compassionate. I spoke to an examiner at Liverpool who pulled it out of Central print as it has delays and sent to local print and it was printed immediately, i waited 4 days in central print with no luck . I understand there are delays at central print at the moment , you can only collect from local print which is for urgent/ fast tracked applications. I’m hoping to receive mine Tuesday as I fly Friday.

If you explain your phoning regarding a compassionate urgent case, they don’t normally ask how you got the number and they shouldn’t be asking that as they are there to help with this. It depends on who you speak to. They can also send a message to the urgent and compassionate team to ring you. So don’t be fobbed off. It took me a number of attempts to speak to someone helpful. I spoke to a lady on Thursday. As mine had already been stuck in processing for 3 weeks, it had come to the top of the pile and was processed last Monday and approved and sent to printing last Tuesday, unfortunately as the urgent/compassionate team had ignored my paperwork the application was processed as standard and sent to Central print which any urgent applications should be sent to local print. It has now been printed, I am now waiting for a call back to see if its possible for me to collect, however the team have reassured me there are no delivery hold ups from local print. I fly in a few days…
April 2, 2022 at 6:36 pm in reply to: Urgent travel & escalating application on compassionate grounds. #11504applewineParticipantMy father in law is ill at the moment, I needed my passport fast tracked, I too was given the email address in Liverpool to send translated medical evidence, my evidence was ignored, the a week after sending evidence I got an email asking me to send evidence! It was a joke. I have finally got through and someone who fast tracked it. Make sure they send it to local print as my passport was printed this morning and only went to local print yesterday after being pulled out of Central print and sat there for days. Speak to the customer care management team, don’t bother with the advice line.
applewineParticipantI have just had a phonecall back directly from Liverpool with regards to an urgent and compassionate travel application put in after i had sent off the papercopy. They took some time to acknowledge receipt of the evidence i sent, and this was put through as a standard application and approved on Tuesday 29th. The passport was sent to central printing and the examiner advised there is a large backlog of passports due to problems at the central centre itself on top of problems with the volume of passports which is causing long delays. She has pulled my passport out of the system and put it in to local print in Liverpool, which she hopes will be printed today or tomorrow. I have been told so many different things, i’m struggling to believe what is true and what isn’t…
applewineParticipantMine was approved early Tuesday morning 29th they advised it was sent to printing on the same day but one said printed , one advisor said we don’t know what happens after this stage of being sent to printing. .as I did the postal application I don’t get the updates online to say printed. I did receive a text to say you will receive your passport in the next few working days , and your supporting documents will be sent separately. I recieved my sons old passport yesterday sent royal mail 2nd class. I have not received any notification from tnt
applewineParticipantSo i contacted the progress team today. I get told different things from different people. So they said that once a passport has been approved it is immediately sent for printing once the examiner presses the button. She said there is no delays..she said my son’s passport was sent to printing on 29th March… but couldn’t confirm if actually printed or not…she says they are not given that information which i find hard to believe. I received a text to say my passport should be delivered in the next few working days but TNT have no record of this… so have no clue. My father in law is ill in Turkey, i have done numerous evidence emails to Liverpool which have been ignored, and this has been processed through a standard application despite having followed the correct procedure for an urgent and compassionate.
applewineParticipantI had sent a papercopy for my sons renewal. Asi can’t track online, I got a text to say the passport should be with you in the next few working days, when I phoned hmpo they said it was approved but not printed. I’m confused, surly it would have been printed before they sent the text,? Anyone else with the same issue? Not sure if it’s different when u send paper copies ?
