@moore88 my sons docs were sent to Peterborough but we live in Edinburgh. The upgrade has to be done via Peterborough. However, they printed it for collection in Glasgow. We are now currently on holiday. So it does happen
There is a fault with the Advice Line. Temporary number is 0300 303 2845.
@Anna245 you need to contact the office which your application is being processed at. They will deal with your upgrade and can have it printed at your local office. For example, my application was being dealt with in Peterborough. They contacted me (eventually) and got it printed in Glasgow for me to pick up@Rub_03hen do you know which office are dealing with your application?

Include all details including attaching proof of flights (booking confirmation). You will not be contact within two working days. They are now saying 48-72 hours before travel. They are working in travel date order
@samking afraid to say you won’t hear within two working days of applying for the upgrade. I believe they are saying two to three days before. Travel. I fly on Friday and heard on Sunday
@shenisedemi my sons application was in Peterborough. The processed the upgrade and Glasgow printed it for collection.
@stressedoutmum they can post them but that’s more delay. We picked ours up from Glasgow but the passport was processed in Peterborough and then printed in Glasgow for me to collect. It was my sons first passport
@stressedoutmum afraid if your flying on the 18th it’s going to be a few days yet. I fly on the 13th and we got the call yesterday. Others were getting it today. They are working at the weekend. Keep the faith. It’s a horrible waiting game
@KateKateKate I wouldn’t panic yet. It two days time you can sned the upgrade requests if you need to. More and more they seem to be coming through
The office dealing iht your application is the one you sent any supporting docs to (if applicable).
The Upgrade email addresses are standard format:
AS mentioned previously, I got the call yesterday from Peterborough to say my son’s passport could be collected from Glasgow post 2pm tomorrow (ie today). I have since had the standard automated messages telling me that the passport has been approved and printed. On the printed message it says it will be sent to the courier etc etc. I am assuming this is just the standard message and that the can’t update to say it is available for collection as required.
I don’t plan to go to Glasgow until tomorrow to collect as I have to fit it around my work. Also, my wife cannot collect the passport despite being on Mat Leave, as I signed the application. The only way she could collect was for me to send a letter (possibly an email) to HMPO giving her permission (not going down this route as too much hassle – luckily I have an understanding boss).
I got the call today and I travel on the 13th. Was very surprised to get it. It’s a withheld number so keep your phone on loud and keep the faith
@StayPositive1 I just got the call!!!! Can pick up the wee man’s passport tomorrow from Glasgow (I live in Edinburgh). Absolutely over the moon. Didn’t even charge me
Hi @StayPositive1 congrats on getting the passport. Did they call really early on a Sunday morning? Lucky you. We fly on the 13th. Desperate to get the call.
Feel like we never will. It’s a joke that the “process” has no way to be tracked
It was a call back from the progress team logged through the main number. But not much point in calling any number really. We have to decide by end of Tuesday whether to pay to move our holiday or not. It’s such a joke. Peterborough don’t even have an automated email response when you send it to the upgrade team.
@JadeWinnett when do you fly? I spoke to progress team today via a call back and they said upgrade are working weekend as they are pushing to get things moving. Same old different story anytime you speak to HMPO. I fly on Friday. It’s not feeling promising. Although today did say Peterborough had acknowledged it into their queue yesterday
