my timeline is similar to yours, passports submitted for my kids on 15th may, we travel on the 24th June. so been 5 weeks.
I am also thinking of going to the passport office 48 hours before, not sure if they will see us or if we need to make an appointment.

so im in a similar situation. put an online application on 15th may & documents were received on the 27th May. everytime i ring they say i cant upgrade. we fly out on the 24th June.

I was thinking of going down to my local office & see if they can issue it then but im not sure if they would see you & do anything & might say the same thing as the agents on the phone.

if your application has been over six weeks then they should let you upgrade to faster service

my has only been 4 & half weeks so they wont upgrade (just spoke with someone), losing all hope now.
