    Call 0300 222 0000 option 8 then option 3.

    Explain your situation and request an upgrade. They may need to get you to progress team first to action the upgrade. In which case ask to be put through rather than call back.

    I think this is where different offices / upgrade teams have different backlogs

    Had my call from upgrade team, travel is wed 25/05, offered me collection tomorrow, however I have an already rearranged work appointment tomorrow that I cannot shift so they are going to post it out to me.

    I can rearrange our flights by a few days to early next week and we should receive by post comfortably by then.

    Feel like I a weight has been lifted.

    So tried emailing Peterborough upgrade team from a new email and this time the auto response did come. My main email must be blocked as sent multiple emails but only on guidance of advisers/progress team after going over 48 hours without a response.

    I am now within 48 hours of travel time and no call.

    Anyone had any calls from Peterborough upgrade team today.

    I don’t think it’s going to happen for us.

    Due to fly Wednesday morning 25/05, will be 48hrs tomorrow morning.

    Still no calls so thought I’d email upgrade team again tonight to make sure my email is seen again.

    Sent my email through to peterboroughupgradeteam@hmpo.gov.uk

    Didn’t receive an auto response

    Sent an email to all the other upgrade teams and got an auto response from them, tried Peterborough again and no response.

    So I wonder if Peterborough are just not sending auto responses any more, whether their mailbox is full or whether I’ve been blocked?

    Anyone had the upgrade confirmed this weekend?

    Keep hearing they are working weekends but not seeing any evidence. Most organisations would be throwing overtime about to help clear the backlog – I guess other organisations are accountable to customers, shareholders, regulators etc unlike HMPO where there is zero accountability.

    Stephany, which upgrade team was dealing with yours. Will be helpful to know.

    We travel on 25th and ours is with Peterborough, but seems they are only working 48hrs ahead so hoping I hear Monday.

    I am chasing but just get told nothing that can be done. I’m calling the regular number on the website option 8 then 3. At times put through to progress team but doesn’t make a difference just told to wait for call. Is there another number to call?

    I travel Wednesday 25th. Been with Peterborough upgrade team since 12/05 still no call. Anyone on here with that team and received a call with accepted upgrade in last few days?

    We didn’t get a lost reference number but I believe there is a lost or cancellation number as the passport is now cancelled. I am going to call tomorrow and get this added to any notes and send another email to upgrade team with additional information

    Posts on here yesterday from people travelling on 20/05 and 21/05 where they got the call yesterday and it’s being turned around in time.

    So I reckon for travel on 22/05 your call will be today or tomorrow.

    I hope I’m right for you and my sake, my travel is on 25/05 and using this logic to keep calm and tell myself my call will come anywhere up to 23/05 as been waiting on call for a week.

    HR22 thank you, I asked the person at the progress team ifni should include the lost passport reference and they said no they don’t need it they will know.

    But I’m paranoid that something like that being missed will mean mine gets passed over.

    I will call again and get it added to notes and include in my email to be on the safe side.

    I have sent an attached PDF of flight booking and a screenshot.

    I can include a picture attachment of “lost” passport if that’s likely to have any benefit?

    I travel on 25/05 , my son’s lost/replacement application was submitted to Peterborough upgrade team on 12/05, still waiting on call.

    After the 48hrs passed I called again and was told to send email stating it was second request for a call.

    Still no call.

    From reading this thread it seems that’s yesterday they were calling those with gravel dates on 20/05 or 21/05 and turning those round in time so maybe I have a few more tense days to wait.

    Does anyone know if this is the case or does it vary depending on the office/upgrade team that your app is with or the type of passport application?

    I’m extremely anxious that because ours is a lost/replacement passport it will cause an issue.

    The passport is confirmed cancelled on 9/04 it was subsequently found and sent in on 12/05 as instructed.
