@kyzza this is the number 0300 222 0000 option 8 then option 3.
I think you should qualify for emergency passport or something like that if it’s for a surgery to be honest. I would explain that to them

Brim13ParticipantI absolutely agree with pestering them. I was sending emails to each and every email I had every single day, calling both numbers up to 3 times a day.
I have severe anxiety disorder and did explain this when I tell rang. Some we’re absolutely amazing, some were rubbish but nevertheless I got my daughters passport today after upgrading on Wednesday of last week and I fly Saturday.
I was ridiculously lucky, like the luckiest human ever but I think my relentlessness helped me out here
Brim13ParticipantQuick update from me guys. My daughters passport is due to arrive tomorrow with TNT after just 5 days from upgrade.
I was told repeatedly on the phone how lucky I am to have been given the upgrade and have the passport get to me so quickly as I definitely don’t qualify within the 6 weeks criteria.
My only advice is to call call call, wait until you get someone nice, don’t let it drop and I even rang to double check in between waiting the 48 hours for a phone call. Also when emailing make sure you’re using capitals for each word!

Brim13ParticipantI agree, try again. Some of them aren’t very kind at all and others have been absolutely amazing. You can only keep trying, I don’t qualify at all but I think my absolute perseverance and the fact I was sickly sweet on the phone helped!
Brim13ParticipantQuick update! From my phone call last night at 7:21 approving the upgrade the passport was approved last night at 11:33!! So they’re clearly working late into the night.

I am really sorry and I hope you get sorted really really soon, I agree it isn’t fair at all and mine was an honest mistake. I usually wouldn’t dream of leaving it so late, my husband is lucky he avoided divorce!

Brim13ParticipantI’ll be honest, I’ve rang twice a day since Thursday of last week and sent emails out from 2 different accounts three times so they must just be sick of me!
I did ask but she seemed a little unsure and just asked if I’d paid for courier delivery; nevertheless I’m heading to bootle tomorrow to ask!
Brim13ParticipantThis is my first post so hope this is okay! My husband lovingly reassured me our passports were all fine and in date but when I checked one of my childrens had expired last year! Cue the massive rush to send the application (couldn’t get a express one to save my life) send all documents in.
Application received 10th May
Identity confirmed 10th May
Documents received 21st MayTried to upgrade as we fly on the 4th June and had a call tonight 7:21 to say they had approved the upgrade and we would receive the passport in 5-10 days but it would be being posted out. Has anyone had any luck in Liverpool having it printed on the day?
I’m going to head down tomorrow and plead my case, she also didn’t charge me for anything which I found strange!
