    Hi yes we have spoken to them a number of times but are no further on. Just a waiting game until documents are scanned on. I think 3 weeks + is a bit long so worried incase they are lost! In limbo until they turn up. In meantime going to have to cancel our holiday… heartbreaking!! Better communication from HMPO would help!

    Old passport posted on 19th April for a child renewal and still not showing as received. Unfortunately didn’t track it on sending. Called into Belfast PO office today and had several phonecards to customer service but they cannot tell if it has been received and that it is a waiting game. Nearly 4 weeks. Looks like we have to cancel.our holiday this week as we are not sure if we will get our passport on time and stand to lose all our money if we don’t decide to cancel it this week. DONT KNOW WHAT ELSE WE CAN DO. So stressfu!! What a nightmare!

    Funkybuscuit I know if u are due to travel within 2 weeks and there is still no progress on your application you can ask to speak to an upgrade team and have the option to upgrade if u have proof of your travel arrangements. There will be additional cost I think but at least gives you an option to push application through quicker. Customer care should be able to advise you on this. Hope this helps

    KAY 123 did your passport go to HEMEL HEMPSTEAD? Is this number for their office?

    Still no update on my child’s renewal posted on 19th April. Will give it another few days to see if it turns up. System still showing as documents not received. Getting more nervous by the day. Thanks for the updates!

    Can I ask how long it took them to acknowledge your documents? Over 2 weeks for me now and still waiting

    JVIN & LexT please can you keep me posted on your progress? I am in the same position. Posted my daughters old passport for her renewal on 19th April to Hemel and it is still showing in the system as not received, Worried it is lost now . Your post gives me a but of hope though!. I sent my passport for renewal on the same day (19th April)to Bootle and it was processed v quick and new passport received by me in post today. Don’t know why there is such a difference in offices.
