Unfortunately, if you go to the dreaded ‘processing’ then it’s just a waiting game. I’ve applied for a lost child passport too, hoping it won’t take too long

@amirun87, for what it’s worth I honestly don’t think they would do that. I work in another government department – senior management will want to hit their targets and there would be no benefit for processing staff to do that (no-one in the passport offices will see that extra money!)

I’m replacing a lost children’s passport a d I didn’t have to send any documents into them either. We’re also on the processing phase, so I guess it’s just a matter of waiting….
Thank you @pkenny12, not traveling until July so not urgent at the moment, was just wondering how long delay could be. Did you get any confirmation when you cancelled the passports online? I haven’t, and just don’t want that to cause any issues
