    Ours was submitted slightly after yours, but we’re travelling sooner…weve told them our flight date, but still not seen any change in passport status…getting nervy now.

    They were pretty clear with me they can’t have anyone over and above those booked due to covid restrictions on max no of people on site – so they wouldn’t even let us collect them as soon as soon as printed when we asked if that was feasible.

    Ah…yours is lost…so you could do the 1 week sevice. Still defo get it back in time if you got an appt asap??

    Yeah, as youve not sent docs in and yours are adult apps? Sure you could just book same days somewhere and do them…170 quid each but if we could do that
    We would be…we cant as ours is a renewal and the PP office have the old doc which is needed, and you cant do a same day for a kids passport. Just depends where the appointments are for yours??

    Ours wasn’t a lost one…it was a renewal. Surely if yours are adult you could do same day appointments for them both to be sure? Thats what we would be doing if we could, but not an option for a child renewal.

    Ours hasnt gone to processing at all, but seen some say theirs has gone straight from ‘documents received’ through to approved and sent pretty much straight off. As it stand today ours is still and’documents received’ from 1st sept

    No – stupidly used the normal service. We tried to see if we could switch to fast track, but as ours is a child app, the quickest is 1 wk. Tried to get this switched over yesterday, but was told twice it couldn’t be done as the old passport would need to be returned first. That said, someone on twitter reckons they got it sorted that way without the old passport, but not sure if they have given all the details there.

    Yeah theres the 0300 222 0000 no…we found the other one on here i think…got more help on that one, but ultimately the message was still the same…not much they can do other than tag the departure date.

    I believe this is the Bootle/Liverpool direct no as thats where our daughters renewal has gone to.

    We used the 0300 123 1973 no. Had to hold on for an hour last night and about 40 mins today, but we were told it has been tagged for the travel date. Just hoping that has some impact

    Just spoken to them again and they confirmed out date of travel has been tagged as 22nd. Fingers crossed from here I guess…

    Thanks…its my daughters child renewal, sent to Bootle – we fly first thing (weds 22nd)morn. The 21 days would take us to the end of this week, but then it was bank hol in there which may push it out. Fair to say we’ve learned our lesson and have been frantic last few days. We really should have done fasttrack straight off.

    Find the experience of calling them so frustrating. We’ve been told different things by 3 different people. One said they would tag the application with date of travel (22nd sept) to try and help ensure its pushed through, next person said that wasnt even feasible. Peoples experience seems to vary so widely. I’m just hoping we get some update later this wk, but hope is fading atm.

    We submitted app on 27th aug & docs we’re received 1st sept. We know we messed up using the normal application too, but we really should be able to switch to fastrack easier in this day & age.

    Pp has gone to Bootle. Even tried to call the direct no and asked if we could get a fast track there. The chap advised the passport documentation is going to a satelite site atm, so not even an option to do that. Think we’ve tried all we can…looking v unlikely.
