Just to let everyone know what happened to us. We were flying on Wednesday 4th May and morning of Tuesday 3rd we still didn’t have a passport. The application was still stuck on identity details received. We decided to travel to Liverpool as that’s where we were flying from the next day and try and go to the passport office. We had applied for an upgrade in the meantime as well as lots of emails to the upgrade team. 12.30, Newport upgrade team e-mailed us and saying they were aware of our request and they’ll be in touch soon. A kind lady from Newport rang us hour after and said she will sort it asap, got told to go to nearest passport office (Liverpool). She was brilliant and apologised as why it took so long. (started the application on 27/2/22). We got to Liverpool passport office and they received the documents, approved, and printed the passport within 4 hours. So anyone who is waiting for that bit of hope, just keep emailing the upgrade team. That’s what I did and it worked for me.
@lucyweb27 they were suppose to get back to me today. Ive been dealing with Liverpool Upgrade, then at 2pm Newport upgrade emailed me asking if my partner (who applied for the initial application of my daughter) could contact them. We did that. But havent heard anything since. My birtb certificate was sent on 6th april but they did t receive it till the 25th. My application update has t been refreshed as well. Not looking likely we will be going on holidays on Wednesday!

I’m 2.5 hours away! But I’m tempted to just do it. At least I know then I’ve tried everything. U tried ringing and getting through to the progress team?
Nope, nothing. I’m tempted to travel up to Liverpool to try chase it up. Heard on radio someone did that and they chased it up and she has the passport same day
I sent mine on the 5th of April. I check application update and it still says they havent received it. I phoned monday to apply for an upgrade and he said they received and scanned the certificate on monday even though nothing has showed up on the pex update. So strange
As it’s within 2 days of your travel, they should contact you today. I’m with Liverpool and flying on the 4th, time will tell?

We had to send marriage certificate off too. Ain’t heard anything since as well. Have been upgraded now so fingers crossed but still looking unlikely.
Awful isn’t it. U tried ringing and get through or email again? Did they tell you that you can pick it up from Liverpool?
So as Monday is back holiday, that will be Friday? Would it be worth going up to Liverpool passport office to pick it up or just wait till i hear back from them? Such a nightmare.
