Approved thank goodness
Daddybear35Participant@ao234 girl told me today most offices are working 7 days a week
Daddybear35ParticipantSo finally we got to speak to a passport officer.
We need to send a letter confirming that my partner and myself are still together. The hold up has been since my partner applied back in 2015 she has been allocated as the responsible parent. She has had to sign a letter and send his birth certificate to back up the application.
Asked if I could hand deliver it and lassie said you could try. So went down to the Glasgow office and it’s closed but could see staff so chapped the door asked to hand it in, told nope go put a stamp on letter, post it in the post box 25 yards from the entrance and they will get it in the next 7 working days And then match it up. Dunno if that will send me back to the back of the queue woman doesn’t seem to think so but it’s know a case of wait and see but Glasgow are working to date order she did confirm and they are due to get 50 more staff back next week from the DWP side of things!
Daddybear35Participant@lynn1978 27th july
Daddybear35ParticipantJust spoke to a mate who is a lawyer the passport office has applied English law for parental responsibility and they should have applied Scots law so the need for me to provide a letter from the mother and a birth certificate is erroneous and misguided!
Need to phone them again to point this out.
Under Scots law a father has parental responsibility if named on the birth certificate which they admit they still have since 2015!
Daddybear35Participant@lynn1978 told the guy on the phone I will be taking it to Glasgow by hand when it comes absolutely ragin
Daddybear35Participant@9844sarah
Our holiday got cancelled but rebooked for same dates and got an extra day, private transfer, in flight meals and £150 refund still hopefully going end july
Daddybear35ParticipantFinally spoke to someone at Glasgow.
My sons application hasn’t progressed because I made the application and not his mother since we are not married.
Even though it is a renewal and they can see his birth cerficate from his application in 2015 they cannot accept this, so now I have to wait 3-5 working days for a letter to come to then send his full birth certificate back.
My son has my name, both mum and me have passports what a absolute f’ing joke!
Daddybear35ParticipantWas going to say that get the MP involved one thing the government departments don’t like is a MP enquiry letter
Daddybear35ParticipantDaddybear35Participant@jamouse did the online passport checker not approve the picture originally? 3 months to tell you that I would be livid
Daddybear35ParticipantThat’s more than my 24 hour promises call back from the progression team now. Will give them to tomorrow then phone again. If I need to go down and sit at Glasgow until someone sees me I will. As uk tax payers we pay the civil servants wages! Their bosses have a lot to answer for puppets!
Daddybear35Participant@9984sarah I am the same at Glasgow applied 29/5/20 been sitting a processing since 5th June.
Daddybear35ParticipantWhat office @jr234 ?
Daddybear35ParticipantWhat office was that @jh203
