Hi all – been following the forum so think only fair to share my experience. Was dreading it but for an adult renewal it’s been completely painless.

Firstly I paid around £12 and had my photos taken at Max Spielmann to reduce the chance of a kickback for shadows etc and then I applied late in the evening. I sent my old passport first class signed and it was signed for 2 days later on the 13th.

I have had notification that my passport has been printed today – exactly 14 days after my application.
