dan_hughesParticipant
Anyway, I got a call this morning saying passport had been forwarded to the Durham branch and they would print out and send via courier but I asked could it be printed out in Liverpool- it could and now it has been – and I’ve got an appointment for collection tomorow! Woo hoo
dan_hughesParticipantMoe-limit no as I said a few posts ago,I was advised on Friday 15th to come back nearer my departure date (within 48 hours of it) so I’m going back on Thursday. The first intake of people on Friday (who were due to fly Saturday) were All back out of the office within a few hours with a time to come back later in the day and collect there printed passport….so I’m going at the crack of dawn again and hopefully it’ll get sorted!
dan_hughesParticipantPancake that was liverpool old hall street..I’m not sure there is an office to queue at in bootle (think it’s just a postal address) but either way all the applications are on computer so I don’t think it matters where you go
dan_hughesParticipantMolimit I would go down.you only need pex number but take everything
dan_hughesParticipantGodisgood12 yes, you’re story correlates with mine (see previous post to yours) in that if you go down to the office make sure it is within 48 hours of your flight and you will be seen *relatively* quickly! If its longer than that – like mine was – you’re best off leaving it as you will be waiting too long.
Well done by the way 👏 hopefully ill be in the same boat come Thursday morning / afternoon
dan_hughesParticipantLittle bit of info for anyone going down the office.
I went this morning first thing, arrived at 6. There was about 20 people ahead. At around 8am one of the senior staff came out and told everyone they;
Wouldn’t see anyone who didn’t have an application in the system
And it needed to have been 10 weeks
From there they prioritise people based on the day they are due to fly NOT when they arrived….I.e people flying in the next 24 hours went first, regardless of where they were in the queue. Then 48 hours. Then 72 etc. They had 2 gents outside who sporadically checked the queue outside asking when people’s flights are due and taking them to the front as needed.
At the same time anyone who had managed to get an appointment went straight in at there scheduled time.
Unfortunately this wasn’t great for me as I am not flying till a week Saturday and seeing how slow the progress is realised I either wouldnt get seen today at all and / or it was more sensible to leave and go back later next week (so I left around 11.30 after arriving at 6am!). At 11.30 they were still working on Sundays flights btw and had around “another hour” till they got to mondays flights.

dan_hughesParticipantThank you Eskimo after 15/07 I’m going to go and queue so I’ll head into Liverpool City centre then!
dan_hughesParticipantGood luck Sarah with youre other one!
Does anyone know if bootle and Liverpool are the same office? I always thought it was just bootle (but people called it liverpool) and I seem to remember the address for the old documents being a bootle address BUT the address and where people seem to queuing up is in old hall street in Liverpool City centre?
dan_hughesParticipantRebecca what does that mean “an examiner”? Do you live near or in Liverpool as you can go and queue up? It’s a pain but at least you’ll have it. Still a fair way to till 19/8 anyway so good luck to you
dan_hughesParticipantWho knows pete? Whole thing is a shambles, should be systematically working through them from the earliest to be applied for
dan_hughesParticipantI’ve got no idea tbh wanting3….was just throwing it out there. All I know is people are applying – and going through bootle- and being done start to finish in 2/3 weeks and others are waiting forever!
dan_hughesParticipantHan22 I may be wrong but it seems any “changed” ones are taking longer…my one for my son is a renewal but its going from a baby pic to a 5 year old little boy picture
dan_hughesParticipantEskimo can you not go down to the offices? I followed a girl on twitter a few weeks ago, she queued for around 3 hours, saw someone and they told her to “come back in 4 hours” and the passport was waiting for her when she did. They pull it up on the system using just your pex number. Once it’s been 10 weeks since your application or within 48 hours of a flight this is OK to do, but I think people less than 10 weeks are queuing too. I stopped worrying about my application being done the “normal” way weeks ago and resigned myself to queuing up after 15th july
dan_hughesParticipantGood news captain Young….another one out the queue! Still waiting here……
