I was at work but after checking with my better half it was just posted through the door. Normal mail had been delivered earlier so not part of that nor just standard Royal Mail.

I have tried to log into TNT tracking using my application number but it doesn’t show any tracking at all.

I have also tried to check Royal Mail Tracking and can’t get any info through that either.

Hi All just read an interesting post on the Liverpool office.

It turns out you don’t need a tracking ref from TNT you can use your application ref.
I didn’t bother clicking on the Tracking link Sent by HMPO due to the wording in the email and text as it says TNT will provide tracking details.

Your new passport has been printed, and will be transferred to our delivery supplier in the next few days. In most cases it will be delivered by TNT delivery services. When it’s ready for delivery, they will contact you with a tracking reference.

I never bothered clicking on the link to track as I didn’t see the point without the yanking tef !

They should tell you it can be tracked by the application number too

*never received tnt tracking, you just need to use PEX number to track on tnt site. 

Now that is really useful for people.

All I received from HMPO was a text and email with similar wording:

Hi All, mine was an online adult renewal and passport arrived this morning with zero comms from TNT and no update from HMPO to say it had been sent after being printed yesterday.
I did get a text and email yesterday advising TNT would be in touch with tracking details once collected but nothing at all from them.

Full timeline:
Passport Received approx 11am 25th March
Passport printed 10:19am on 24 March 2022
Application approved 6:49pm on 17 March 2022
Documents received 1:37pm on 15 March 2022
Application received 7:31pm on 1 March 2022
Application submitted7:31pm on 1 March 2022

Hopefully this helps and anyone waiting hopefully you’ll get your passports soon.

l10nrd – it took 7 days from Passport approved to Passport printed at 10.19 yesterday for mine. Advised by text and email that TNT would be in touch with tracking details once collected etc.
But Passport Received this morning without any update to say it had been sent and no tracking info from TNT.

This was from Hemel Hempstead.

I’ve just received notification this morning.
Passport printed at 10.19 24th March.

Therefore 7 calendar days since approved.
Looks like I’ll be having a further wait for TNT / tracking info.

Hi Kelso, I’m still waiting for mine to be printed. Approved at 6.49pm 17th so tonight will be 6 calendar days since approval. Hopefully it will be printed today but concerning it’s taking ages for tracking info as well.

Hi Kelso, so 5 days to receive the one from Bootle, hopefully the other won’t be too much longer. Interesting they’re not putting ‘printed and sent’ anymore. That may be due to a lot of complaints around the time the couriers ate taking and lack of updates / tracking etc. Obviously I’m just guessing as to that reason but there are a lot of people saying they’re not getting tracking info nor any updates once it is set as sent.

Have you only just received your passport 12 days after it was printed and sent?

Excellent, it looks like they’re working through quite well and with our times being the same from delivery of passports to acknowledging receipt hopefully mine will be approved by early next week too.

Thanks, they’ve now (yesterday afternoon) updated to say the old passport had been received. So 12 days from Riyal Mail signed for till passport office acknowledging receipt
Hopefully it will be processed quickly now.
