    @jamesd1974 I was due to have a call back, no one called me back within 48 hours(which is how long they said it would be) so I rang back and got out through.

    @Pipine I would ring the complaints line. The guy there was really helpful and gave me his number to ring back if nothing happened.

    Finally received child renewal. We made three applications on the same day. All sent to Glasgow, two received within two weeks, this one we have emailed, contacted on Twitter, contacted our MP and contacted the complaints team – this seemed to be most effective. We were due to fly in the 17th. Ironically, the day they approved it TUI cancelled our flight.
    Passport printed and sent 1:38pm on 3 July 2020
    Application approved 8:55pm on 1 July 2020
    Application being processed 10:07am on 5 June 2020
    Documents received 8:23am on 3 June 2020
    Application received 11:53am on 24 May 2020
    Application submitted 11:53am on 24 May 2020

    Did you get through to complaints on the phone? I’m waiting for a call from them but have t heard back.

    I really don’t think there is any system in place. I applied for 3 child renewals within half an hour of each other. I sent all 3 old passports on the same day. 2 were returned within 2 weeks, the other is still waiting to be processed and was sent on the 24th May. They don’t even seem to be processing them by type of application (some new ones on here are done quickly and some not) or by date received. Mine all arrived on the same day.

    How do people know which office is dealing with their application? We applied for 3 child renewals on the 24th May, have had 2 back but one still says ‘processing’. I have tried chasing as we should be flying on the 17th July, but no luck. Need to pay the balance this week and don’t know what to do. Thought maybe I could contact the office dealing with it, but can’t find that.
