    Tried to add this to the Liverpool office thread but says I have made a duplicate post bit I can’t see it!

    Well, the PO people actually rang me! (I left my number after ringing yesterday at 5.29pm and not expecting to be on hold but I was for around 10 mins then asked to leave number and someone will call me, yeah right, I did but did not expect a call whatsoever!)

    However a lovely lady from Newport office rang me this afternoon and she was brilliant, (it pays to be courteous and polite!) She basically said what Chinstroker said, the fact that I still have my son’s expired passport with me is the ace card. She advised to cancel the live application in a letter get that sent off asap and book a fast-track 1 week application which I have done and I am flying to Glasgow this Friday, to sort my lads passport out. My wife & daughters passports may still not get here before we travel but you have to try something. And the credit card is getting hammered!

    I now have a millions things to sort out. Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit crystal meth! ;o)

    Thanks again for the heads up. The problem is trying to get through to someone that is willing to speak to you! Main number not accepting calls and no one answering on their twitter handle. Deffo going to do this!

    You can do a 1 week for your sons …and id probably do that if you have the passport in hand. I wouldn’t send it, cos once you do its 1-2 weeks to get it back if you want to fastrack. Personal opinion would be save yourself the stress, book a 1 wk fast track for your son asap and dont send off the passport.

    If I did fasttrack my son’s application (and believe me I really want to) would that not cause issues at their end as he is in the system – currenty marked as “Application Processing” ?

    I am waiting on three renewals, wife and two kids.

    Wife and daughter were straightforward online process, however for some reason the lady who verified my daughters photo online was not allowed to verify my son’s photo online (phoned up and the guy basically couldn’t give me an answer) so had to get lady to use paper form which went to a Peterborough address. I still have his expired passport here, they have the paper form but have not asked for the passport to the Bootle address.

    Should I send it anyway, using his PEX code?

    Travelling on 21st Oct to France for family wedding but not very hopeful we will get there. Says online 5 weeks for Adult/kids renewals and I submitted on this timeframe. What happened to the fastrack service for 1 week service?

    Tried to ring them this morning at 8am, on hold for 25 mins then engaged tone, get cut off!
