I have been processing since 22nd March from lost passports. I hope it is only 7/8 weeks as that will be my 7 weeks Tuesday!

03001231973gallsParticipantmine is at Durham too, been processing since 16th March. I have been told nothing is holding mine up either. I have emailed my MP I have had enough of this! People are applying for passports after me and its getting approved within days and I am 6 weeks down the line and its still sitting ‘processing’
gallsParticipantI got through to the live chat this morning, my passport isn’t even with an examiner yet. Been processing since 16th March! He couldn’t tell me anything, just wait and 2 weeks before holiday to phone and ask for upgrade. This is a disgrace!

gallsParticipantno, just said they are still having delays and if I havent heard anything 2 weeks before my holiday to phone and I can pay for upgrade fast track, £142 each for me and my daughter! why the hell did i leave it so late to apply for it.. 🙁
gallsParticipantI called last night and gave the processing team my lost reference number, its just a waiting game now. I go away 3rd June so I am feeling a bit more hopeful the passport will be here now. I will chase up again next week.

gallsParticipantdid you report your old passport was lost? I never and from the call this morning, that’s what the delay is. I have now completed the cancel old passport as lost, online. Just waiting for a reference number to phone back with it and hopefully it will be sorted!
gallsParticipantI tried to call them last night, 2 hours I waited then at 8pm it said office closed and cut me off. I have been sitting a processing stage for almost 6 weeks. I fly in 5 weeks and now full on stressed. I work full time and cant sit on the phone for hours on the hope they will answer, live chat isn’t working either. gallsParticipantI applied for mine on the 16th March, lost passport so didn’t need to send anything away. Same day I got my identity confirmed. 22nd March, went into processing and been stuck there since. I have tried calling, difficult when working full time, so I called last night at 6pm and come 8pm still no answer the auto message was switched on saying ‘lines closed call back’ so frustrating! we fly in 6 weeks.
