Received our passport today.

Application submitted 5:46pm on 26 July 2021TNT were scheduled to deliver it tomorrow but I clicked on the “reschedule delivery” and was able to change it to today. They put it through the letterbox.

you might wait for like 45 minutes- the staff are lovely and try to be helpful but there aren’t many updates to be had.

Bootle is Liverpool (AFAIK!)
Ours is a straightforward child renewal. It got moved to “approved” this afternoon but no updates on dispatch yet. We were due to fly yesterday, hoping to fly by Friday if we receive the passport in the next 48 hours. My sister received both her children’s renewals in saudi arabia 48 hours after approval so hope local post is as efficient as DHL 🙂 I will update when it gets posted/received. Good luck!My sister just received her daughters renewal (abroad) 4 weeks after submitting.
I sent to Bootle and still in “documents received” 3 weeks on.
@Dt1901 – extra frustrating for you guys to have two very different experiences.
I read on twitter that there are actually two systems. the new one will take an application from approved to printed etc within a few hours and the applications that go through the old system can be stuck in processing for weeks.
I also saw someone who sent their adult renewal to bootle this month and received it a couple of days later.

Totally losing my mind hitting refresh on the application. Totally unreasonable for them not to quote an eta. Esp seeing other ppls applications go to Bootle this month and they’ve already received their passports but we aren’t even being processed yet 3 whole weeks later. Looks like we won’t get to go see my parents which is depressing as I’m worried we will have flight restrictions in October or over xmas. Sigh … hope everyone else is well and seeing more progress !

I think we must be close !! Judging by timelines other users have posted we should expect to go into processing by Monday. Good luck .. what a wait though !Hi Ben
I submitted my son’s application on 26th – documents received on 30th July.
Will let you know how we get on.
My friends renewed their children’s passports 2 weeks before we submitted our application and theirs was a 14 day wait from application submission to receiving passports. I am hopeful although it does appear there’s a bit of a slowdown in processing times this month.Good luck
I’m in the same boat now. Booked our flights to visit family and then realised my son’s passport had less than 6months on it.
Sent it off straight away we are meant to be flying this Sunday but the application isn’t even approved yet.Documents received 30 July 2021
