LKT1990 – wow really? That is super quick, I would have expected it to take longer with taking up to 8 working days to log the documents

Xxmarley – I think it’s taking 2-3 days before you can track it, which is all down to demand lately

LKT1990 – this is the number I have been ringing 0300 123 1973. Haven’t been on hold for very long at all.
I have just sent my marriage certificate off as they aren’t sure if they can link my application to my son’s now as it’s been awhile since mine was approved, did they put the application that needed extra documents on hold and if they did how long after them logging they recieved the extra documents, did it go to approved? If you don’t mind me asking

LKT1990 – I know that feeling, I applied for my son’s first passport in January, and it’s still stuck on processing has been for 21 days now. All the other passports I have done, were all done within 3 weeks, even my daughters first passport went from documents received to approved in 6 days. We are due to travel on 4th April

Conz1234- yes you get an email and text when the application moves to being approved. Mine has been stuck on processing since 16th February, well my son’s has, an email has been sent to an examiner to find out what the hold up is

My son’s passport has been in processing for 21 days now, an email was sent to the examiner asking what the hold up is, hopefully I hear something by the end of the week. Gov.uk have changed their timelines, first adult passport is taking 6 weeks, while all others are taking 5 weeks. My son’s first child passport will be 6 tomorrow, and I applied when the timelines were 3 weeks

I will do 😁 I find it even more frustrating when people who apply afterwards get approved before my son’s, but I am glad they aren’t going through the stresses we are

My son’s first passport has been stuck on processing since 16th February, we are due to fly 4th April. I am that stressed I can’t sleep and I feel sick a lot of the time. The lady I spoke to today said it’s strange how there has been no movement on his application so has emailed them today to ask what the hold up is, but that can take 48 hours. The other passports I have done haven’t taken this long, and all arrived back within 3 weeks, and yet this one is coming up to 6 weeks on thursday

It varies for everyone. Some are being approved within a week from documents being recieved, while others like myself, are almost on 3 weeks of application is being processed. I need the passport for the 4th April. I’ve applied for 4 others, 3 renewals and another first child’s passport, and they have all been approved and delivered to my address

Lauraf1991 – my call back wait time was 11 days.

They need to sort out whatever is going on in the Liverpool office, as wasn’t this bad when I applied to renew my passport beginning of January

Finally had a call back after requesting one 11 days ago.
It was discussed that as I am due to fly on the 4th of April, instead of waiting for an update from examiner, I am going to send my marriage certificate in, as she can’t guarantee they will link to my application as my application has been approved and received my end. So that will take 8 working days at least to be logged on the system, and then if my son’s application is on hold it will flag up, and will be looked at fairly quickly. This will leave about 10 days before our holiday, cutting it fine.
When I have previously had an application on hold, and I’ve send what they needed, it was approved 1 or 2 days after they recieved that information

I need it for the 4th April, and I can’t even move the holiday as it’s gone up by 3 grand 😭. It’s been almost 4 weeks since they logged the documents as received, and almost 6 weeks since they received application and no idea how many weeks it has been since I submitted the application

I’m hoping as my son’s application has been processing and with the examiner since the 16th, I hear something soon

I’ve been waiting for a call back, but never received one, that was almost 2 weeks ago now.
