My son’s application was approved yesterday and still waiting for tracking, but people who were also approved yesterday have had their passports delivered today. So I think TNT aren’t doing too bad at the minute with delivery.
jespop30ParticipantSeems TNT are doing okay with delivering new passports. My son’s was printed yesterday at 7.02pm, can’t track yet, but hopefully soon.
jespop30ParticipantI’ve done 2 child renewals and not been asked for their birth certificates.
jespop30ParticipantHow long are people waiting to be able to track their passport?
jespop30ParticipantSunshine – hopefully I will be able to track from tomorrow then, mine was printed at 7.02pm bit late for a collection by TNT.
They were other passport applications I had done. On my previous applications I never received anything from TNT but could clearly track it myself, I don’t think TNT always make contact, but if you can still track it, it means they have it and should be out for delivery on the day they say. Even though a couple of people have recieved the passport a day before the original delivery which would usually update on the morning of new delivery.
jespop30ParticipantSunshine – what time did you get the printed status? From what I know about the 4 other passports that have been delivered, they were delivered on there delivery dates, no issues.
jespop30ParticipantSo I am not sure why, possibly that my son’s application has been over the 10 week time frame, it was approved on Monday and I have just had the printed email and text. Hoping for a swift delivery now. Hopefully everyone else will have their next up date soon.
jespop30ParticipantI didn’t even realise your could pick up from TNT, good to know you can just incase, but from the timelines at the minute my son’s passport should come middle of next week in time for our flight on the 4th.
jespop30ParticipantJust read on twitter, it’s taking up to 7 days to send out passports, then 1 or 2 days delivery, but from this forum a few people have had them the day after they were printed, so hopefully the ones waiting for the 18th, should be printed by end of the week. They really need to clear this backlog that has been created. All I can think is, thank god the next passport I need to renew is in a couple years (my husband’s), and by then the backlog should be gone.
jespop30ParticipantMaryy93 – I submitted my son’s first passport on the 8th January, and it only went to approved on Monday, after god knows how many phone calls.
jespop30ParticipantAmy93 – that was really quick, I have heard of documents coming back the same day as the new passport arriving, but never before it’s even printed. Hopefully you will have an update soon.
jespop30ParticipantLkt1990 – fingers crossed for you. When do you travel again? Can’t keep up with everyone.
Kerryd – hopefully yours goes to printed too. We should be getting excited not stressing over passports.
Amy93 – not yet, what about yours?
jespop30ParticipantKerryd – and I thought my my son’s first passport took ages. His was finally approved on Monday. I applied on the 8th January. Most people seem to have them printed between 4-6 days but occasionally you have ones that take longer. We fly on the 4th so desperately waiting for the next update.
jespop30ParticipantApparently it’s taking 2-3 days to be printed, and 5 days from being approved to being picked up by TNT. And apparently if applications are approved on a Friday or a weekend, they may take slightly longer to be printed. Everyone knows from this forum, how long it can take and if your lucky, it doesn’t take that long at all.
jespop30ParticipantI know how frustrating it is for all of you. My son’s first passport was submitted on the 8th January, and it only got approved yesterday, so now waiting on another update. All the other passports I did at the same time came back within 3 weeks, that was 3 renewals and another child’s first passport. We fly in like 12 days. They really need to sort the system as passports shouldn’t be taking this long surely.
