Amy93 – be interesting to see if it is your new passport as I don’t remember getting an email for any of the 3 old passports on the day of delivery.
Hopefully both of us with have the new passports soon.
Djbdane – still find it strange how yours took so long to go to printed, when people approved after you got theirs delivered long before yours. Glad yours is out of delivery, about time.
Amy93 – thank you, I am hopeful I have enough time, already decided if it’s due to be delivered on a day I am at work, I will call in sick as we have no letterbox so we have to be in to have it delivered. Most time frames are being delivered within a week, but then you do get the unlucky ones, who go past this time frame.
Amy93 – could it maybe be an old passport, as don’t think royal mail deliver new passports anymore.
It was finally approved yesterday,not even 3 hours after I had an urgent call back from the progress team, now just the wait for it to be printed and delivered, hopefully it’s back within 11 days as need it in 12 days.
amirun87 – I have no idea, apparently it was the 4th alert to be put on the application, and to be honest I didn’t think it would do anything, so was surprised when I got the text to say it was approved. Woman did say on the phone if I hadn’t had an update by Friday to ring back. I still have to ring the office as I don’t know if they logged my marriage certificate as I sent it after the birth certificate, and I didn’t get another documents recieved email. They need to sort the system as passports should not be taking this long.
Hsr – it shouldn’t take them this long to double check everything.
ikarolajna – I hope so, as we go away on the 4th and it’s just been approved today, after having submitted it over 10 weeks ago.
LKT1990 – it’s amazing how long some peoples passports are being printed while others at being printed after only a couple of days. Part of me hopes that as it ended up with an alert it will be done sooner, but then again I am glad it’s finally approved, so we are one step closer to getting on that plane.
wastedoranges – it went into processing on the 16th February, but I’ve seen loads of people that have been in processing later than my son’s been approved long before his.
Hsr – thank you, so relieved, means we are one step closer and fingers crossed it arrives within 13 days, I think it should so, but won’t get my hopes up till it’s in my hand.
So as mentioned earlier, I had a phone call from the progress team, at 12.45pm and by 3.11pm my son’s application was approved. So now just the wait to see when it is due to arrive. Due to fly in 13 days so we will see, especially as there are various times from application being approved to it being printed.
My son’s has been in examination since the 11th March and hasn’t moved forward. His application has been over 10 weeks. Don’t think we are going away on the 4th of April.
About time! Yours has been approved for ages, and people who got theirs approved after yours, have already recieved their passports.
That was the fastest I have ever had a call back from the progress team. The call back was put in yesterday and they have just rung back. Apparently there are 3 alerts on the application, well 4 now as she has put another one on, and I should have an update in the coming days. There is no note from the examiner that they are waiting on anything either. She isn’t sure why it’s taking so long especially as I sent other passport applications to same office and they all came back quickly. I get the feeling the alerts aren’t even doing anything, if there were already 3 on the application, with no update from examiner.
