They were making up for the time lost in “receiving” the documents…

Renewal of an adult (jumbo) passport, final timeline:

    Passport delivered 22 March 2022
    Passport printed 21 March 2022
    Application approved 17 March 2022
    Documents received 15 March 2022
Signed for RM SD 28 February 2022
    Application received 26 February 2022
    Application submitted 26 February 2022

Now waiting for the return of the old UK and current foreign passports. Paid extra fiver for ‘secure delivery’. HMPO email says it might take two weeks.

I hope and wish that everyone gets theirs soon.

Ha, I just checked TNT again and it says “Driver Delivery” and has a photo of my flat door. I’ll have to wait another ~6 hours to find out if it has been dropped off through the letterbox.

    @ bgm00

Very lucky to receive yours in one day from it being printed, most things I’m reading are saying allow a week from printed. Did you call up tnt or do anything to ensure this?

No, haven’t done anything – it was the same as for @ djbdane in post #10336 – first it was showing delivery two days later, then updated to the next day.

Just got a text and an email that I must sign passport when received before using it – I guess it means it’ll be delivered today.

Or maybe it has already, as I am at work, not at home…

My passport was approved on 17.03.2022. Does anybody know how long I could be looking at before I actually receive my passport?

There are couple of us who also got approved on the 17th, printed today and TNT is due to deliver on Wednesday, 23rd.

    Cross-posting from Liverpool thread:

After being approved on the 17th, my passport has moved to printed earlier today.

Next step – TNT! Shows as due to be delivered on 23rd.

ETA: if you use your PEX number in their tracking, it will show you the TNT ref number.

No signature required – just posted through the door!

They do say on TNT passport website that if there’s a letterbox, they will post it through if there’s no one home.

    @ jellyj4

What format did you enter your application number in to the tracking please? I don’t know whether you need the PEX in front, spaces between the groups of numbers, or if it makes no difference.

    From the TNT tracking website:

Anyone know the number for the Bootle office? Assuming it’s different to the Liverpool office?

    Bootle is Liverpool.

Couple of days after they finally “received” docs for a simple adult renewal, application has been approved.

Now the printing and sending phase…

I don’t understand why they don’t distribute the work to applicants ‘local office’ at time of application

That would make sense, and government doesn’t do things sensibly…

It looks like the ‘escalating’ worked – they finally updated my status to ‘Documents received’.

Let’s now see how long will simple renewal (nothing changed) take.

Phoned them today with the RM Special Delivery tracking number, and was told that they are not sure why docs haven’t been linked to the application after 12 days and she’ll escalate it (whatever that means).
