    My wife got a call last night at 8:30 to confirm that her passport upgrade request has been accepted. Got told we would have to pay additional £101 and that the passport would be ready to collect from our nearest passport office the next day. Honestly thought we wouldn’t manage to get the passport, as that’s been nearly 2 weeks calling, but once I spoke with the progression team (requested a call back and eventually getting a call) they were very helpful and managed to get the ball rolling with the upgrade. Hope anyone else in the same boat as us, is successful with getting there passport back in time. They do leave it last minute, but seems they don’t look at upgrades until 48 hours before flying.

    We sent my wife’s passport away the 23rd of April and was received the 26th. We haven’t heard a thing back and we are suppose to leave for our honeymoon on Tuesday 22nd of June. We spoke to the upgrade team last Tuesday, got told I’d hear back in 48 hours but no call since. Called every day trying to speak to someone, but all you get is “you aren’t guaranteed an upgrade”. Horrible not know what to do! If we don’t hear anything we will go down to Glasgow and hope they help, but it’s been very stressful trying to get this sorted

    My wife’s passport was sent 23rd of April. Received at the passport office 26th and not heard anything back since. We fly for our honeymoon on Tuesday (22nd of June). Called last Tuesday regarding an upgrade, Sent the proof of travel to the upgrade team and haven’t heard back since. Called every day asking and get told the same thing, “it’s not a guarantee that you’ll get upgraded”. Horrible not being able to speak to someone who can do something about it. We have been told Saturday is our last chance to hear back from upgrade team, so fingers crossed. If we don’t hear back, will go down to Glasgow and see if they can help.
