Received your passport yet? Mine was approved on Saturday so hoping to receive it this week for travel on Sunday! Not great with the bank holidays though.Jules66ParticipantI’m waiting on printing too, approved 24/05. We travel 05/06 (Sunday) so really hoping it gets printed and delivered this week! Anyone know if TNT will deliver on the public holidays this week? Is there anything that can be done to speed up printing?
Jules66ParticipantApproved Saturday morning 06:34!

How do you request a callback from upgrade team? I thought email was the correct approach, as I was advised by progress team. Also, are they dealing with those within 6 weeks of application? ThanksJules66ParticipantSo inconsistent! We realised with just over 3 weeks to travel that my husbands passport was over the 10 year issue date, even though didn’t expire until Feb 2023. Couldn’t get an appointment to fast track so had to apply standard service hoping to upgrade and now told have to be 6 weeks+ since application before eligible to upgrade! Have emailed anyway but not expecting a call ☹️
Jules66ParticipantI think we will almost certainly be re-arranging travel. We fly 5th June, and doesn’t look like upgrade within 4/6 weeks is an option from this week.
Jules66ParticipantCan I ask, how long is it taking for documents (old passport) to be marked as Received? Been 2 weeks since delivery by Royal Mail and still not updated! Progress team suggested up to 11 working days. Can’t do anything about upgrade until that happens.
Jules66ParticipantI’m guessing the new 6 week rule puts an end to the hope of the upgrade team calling if we’re still within that time, regardless of travel date?
Jules66ParticipantFantastic! Doesn’t sound very positive at all.
Jules66ParticipantI sincerely hope not! That will rule me out too. They need to recognise that there will always be cases where passports are required urgently and if appointments aren’t available within 3 weeks then people have no option but to submit a standard application and then go for upgrade! I rang this morning and the lady said my application was all fine and I should send the upgrade email as soon as the documents are marked as received. Currently taking up to 11 working day to scan and update. She didn’t mention this at all!
Jules66ParticipantI emailed Peterborough and Liverpool Upgrade teams this morning from both mine and my husbands email addresses. Received auto response from both to my husbands email but only Liverpool for mine. May be coincidence but I did email last week from mine too!
Jules66ParticipantStephany, were you emailing the upgrade team despite the auto-reply saying not to keep emailing? If so, I’ll try the same. We travel 5th June but I’m told I can’t upgrade yet as the old passport isn’t marked as received yet. Hoping that will happen by Wednesday (2 weeks since delivery), but I’m going to email tomorrow regardless. Any advice appreciated.
Jules66ParticipantPaige, I’m in exactly the same situation, flying 5th June and waiting for documents to be scanned. Don’t know how the jubilee weekend will impact it, so emailed Upgrade team today, will do it again on Monday.
Jules66ParticipantHow do you get through to Customer Care management? I’m waiting for old passport to be scanned and they’ve had it for over a week. Need to upgrade next week.
Jules66Participant@vikkilee22 I’m in the same position, waiting for old passport to be scanned. Managed to get through to processing team this morning who advised it’s taking up to 10 days to register as received, after which I should call back for upgrade. At that point we’ll be just over a week until travel.
