Hi, i wrote a cancellation letter and heard nothing, for the same reason. i needed the valid irish passport back for my son to travel today as thought the British one wouldn’t be back in time. Rang 17 March a week after sending letter, they told me i couldn’t get them back as British one was processing. Got the British passport last Tuesday but still waiting for supporting documents!! If i were you I’d ring them, you may have a long wait but tell them you want it escalated. They are supposed to release your documents 10 working days from daye later received.
Thanks for the reply. When i submitted my documents i sent a note with them stating needing urgent return. I even went as far as writing to withdraw application on 17.3.22 as was worried documents wouldn’t be back in time. Really hope they come back this week so i can sigh with relieve.
Hi All, I received my passport on Monday, 6 days after printing (22.03.22). My question is for anyone who has received their new passport. How long did it take for them to send back your supporting documents? Holiday booked for 8.04.22 with Irish Passport and need it back!
Reg…. that’s awful… send a written complaint off to them, I’m actually not waiting on my sons British Passport just need his Irish one back for travel on 8 April, I even went as far as withdrawing the application with a letter and follow up phone call, but still waiting on documents requested on 17th March
Try giving TNT a call. You won’t receive notification from TNT but can track with your PEX number and postcode. if you get an error message TNT won’t have receive it from HMPO
Ps I rang TNT on Friday and they say HMPO are only releasing in batches. At that time no tracking for mine was available
TNT don’t send out tracking information, the text you got saying its been printed, there’s a link for TNT. Have you tried tracking with PEX number?

Application submitted 3:30pm on 4 February 2022you can see mine was also printed 22 March I was able to track late Friday 25th afternoon on tnt website with my PEX number and postcode. Mine being delivered Monday 🤞
Hi, yes mine was printed on 22nd and was able to track on tnt website yesterday 🤞 mine will be delivered on Monday was approved on 17th!
Mine was printed 22.03.22 also, been checking TNT every day, even rang them today. They said that HMPO are releasing and recording in batches and their tracking will update as soon as passport is released to them. Tracking information updated an hour ago, delivery will be Monday!! Hallelujah….. its not even the passport I’m waiting on its the accompanying documents 🙄
@moshuntilpanic it’s been so stressful and the added strain of HMPO not updating their tracking has just added to it. I have rang them 3 times throughout the process and it really depends on who you get on how much help you get. Now waiting on tnt updating so it’s like a vicious circle with one another blaming each other for the delay!!
