Hi all, in case it helps anyone who is travelling soon my daughters passport was approved on 23rd, printed on 30th and can now track on TNT since 3pm today. It says it’s due to arrive 2nd but have the option to rearrange for tomorrow. Sadly no point for me as we took the decision to reschedule our holiday to August yesterday as I couldn’t deal with losing all our money if it didn’t turn up by tomorrow. Hope it’s reassures some of you that had passports approved last week and are travelling next week that you should be fine
kerrydParticipantLee87 – My daughter’s passport application was approved on 23rd March, got her birth cert back in the post on 24th March. 8 days later and still no passport though.
kerrydParticipantI second what gracelay25 said. No idea if it’s coincidence or not but after getting desperate I emailed my local MP last night for help. Got an email back from him this morning saying he would contact them and just now had an email to say my daughter’s passport has been printed (after applying on 29th Dec). Even if it’s just coincidence the fact he replied immediately was more customer service than I’ve had from HMPO in the last few months so it was nice to feel listened to
kerrydParticipantJespop30 – That is amazing news and actually gives me a tiny bit of hope that I may get my daughters by Friday to fly on Saturday as it was approved on 23rd
kerrydParticipantAmirun87 – once I’ve got the holiday rescheduled this morning I’m definitely going to start the formal complaints process as it’s been a horrible few weeks calling them everyday with such mixed messages each time I call. Luckily I have a record of everything I’ve been told each time I call.
kerrydParticipantamirun87 – I could if it had been printed yet but as of 9am this morning they told me it still hadn’t been printed yet (7 days after being approved). The most frustrating thing is no one can tell me why it hasn’t been printed. The process (or lack of) is such a shambles
kerrydParticipantJespop30 – That’s great news. I finally got told by one of the agents yesterday that there is no chance of my daughter’s passport being here in time for our holiday on Saturday despite being approved on 23rd and us applying all the way back on 29th Dec. Now waiting on hold to our holiday provider to reschedule to the next school holidays in August 🙁
I hope everyone else’s arrive in time for your travels 🙂
kerrydParticipantHi all, has anyone had tracking details for a passport approved on or after 23rd March? My daughter’s was approved on 23rd but still no tracking info and when I call HMPO some tell me it went for print on 23rd, others tell me it looks like it hasn’t? We travel on Saturday so need it by Friday 1st. So stressful. We applied in December 2021! I’ve tried using our PEX number and postcode on the TNT website and just get an error message so guess they don’t have it yet.
kerrydParticipantamy93 – Thank you. If it’s not out for delivery by Thursday morning we will need to reschedule as we have to give our holiday provider 48 hours notice to avoid losing all our money. It’s so frustrating that they still don’t help despite it being well over the 10 weeks.
kerrydParticipantHi all, my daughter’s first child passport was approved on 23rd March but still just showing as approved rather than printed. How long have people been waiting from approved to delivery? Due to fly on Saturday 2nd so need it here by Friday. I’m getting no joy on the phones despite applying on 29th December so it’s well over the 10 weeks 🙁 They just say they’ll put a flag on my application each time
kerrydParticipantHi all, I feel your pain. My daughter’s first child passport was approved on 23rd March but still no confirmation that it has been printed. I got her birth cert back in the post this morning though. Fingers crossed for everyone. We are due to fly on 2nd so hoping it arrives by next Friday!
kerrydParticipantFingers crossed for you jespop30! To be fair it took my friend who was confirming her identify 4 chasers and 9 days to do so so the delay was partially our end.
kerrydParticipantHi all, after applying on 29th December for my daughter’s first child passport and countless phone calls to HMPO I finally just got the text today to say her application has been approved and gone to print. In your experience how long is it taking from approval to it arriving with you? We are due to travel next Saturday 2nd April so need it in the next 9 days!
kerrydParticipantFingers crossed for all of you. Does anyone have any experience with getting a call back from the processing team in Liverpool? I’ve was told last week they would get someone to call me in 48 hours and still no call. Due to travel on 2nd April and still waiting for daughter’s first child passport. Applied on 29th December 🙁
kerrydParticipantHi all, looking for some guidance / hope. We are waiting for my daughters first child passport to arrive as we are due to travel next Saturday 2nd April. Documents were signed for on 7th Feb in Liverpool but not updated to ‘documents received’ until 15 working days later on 25th Feb. Moved to ‘application being processed’ on 10th March and has been like that for the past 11 days. I’ve called a couple of times and they say there is no further guidance they can give until 10 weeks has passed. Has anyone whose documents were received after 25th Feb received their first child passport? Or any advice about anything I can do to get it in the next 10 days 🙁 Thanks!
