Finally received passport in the mail, our holiday this week will not be ruined!!

Paper Application Submitted via Post Office: 31 March
Email Response to Progress Inquiry: 27 April, stating that documents were received
(A million calls this week asking for upgrade with travel 17 June)
    Printed: 10th June
    Delivered: 15th June

Because we did a paper application I think it took wayyyyy longer than it would have otherwise. Just happy to have received it in time for our holiday!

Just an update, passport was printed Friday and I just got a tracking update it would be delivered Thursday- I was able to call TNT and get it switched to tomorrow! I will feel better when I can see it with my own two eyes but it’s looking like we’ll make our holiday on Friday!

@TCL Thanks for the link, still no tracking for my application yet. Fingers crossed it’s just a tracking glitch and it shows up today!

@TCL This makes sense, thank you so much! Please post when you can see tracking, I just tried the reference number with TNT and nothing yet.

@TCL Thanks for the reply! This gives me hope. I wouldn’t mind even picking it up from Durham if it would ensure I’d have it in time. I’m not sure we’ll receive any tracking notifications, as it was a paper application and wasn’t given a PEX number. Do you know how we can track shipping without it? We did receive an application reference # but I’m not sure it doubles as TNT tracking?

@st_tommy I used the DurhamUpgradeTeam@hmpo.gov.uk email and then the main passport helpline number 300 222 0000. When on the phone I asked to be put through to the Durham Upgrade Team– I’m not sure who I was transferred to but it was someone in the Durham office.

Finally after pestering the passport office through calls/ emails we got a call back saying the passport had been sent to print 3 days ago (Friday). We leave for Canada on Friday this week (June 17)- what has been the time between sending for printing and actually receiving the passport in the mail?? Do we have a chance of receiving our passport before our flight?

This was a paper application that took over 10 weeks to process (submitted March 31st via post office).
