Yes I got a text today from DHL to say parcel will be delivered between these times but it never came and the tracking says it’s back at the depot! However my husband was in the whole time!! So I’ve rearranged it for tomorrow but I’m a bit dubious as to what happened there and wether to just arrange to collect it from the depot myself now.
meera0108ParticipantHello,
I got a text to say my sons passport was printed on Friday (22nd) but I still haven’t heard anything about delivery. The message said it would be a few days before I was contacted by the delivery supplier but it’s been 4 days now and nothing? How long does it normally take? TiA
April 27, 2022 at 8:35 am in reply to: Child renewal at Bootle – can/should I cancel and reapply using fast track? #13407meera0108ParticipantHi,
I applied for my child’s first passport (at bootle too) documents were noted as recieved on 5th April. (Started application on 17th March, I got a message on 19th April to say application had been approved and then on 23rd April to say it has been printed) I still haven’t recieved a message to say when it will be delivered though so so far it’s been 6 weeks since I started the process….I’m guessing it will be around 6.5-7 weeks before I receive the passport. We also fly first week of June. Just to give you an idea of a potential time frame! If yours is just a renewal it may be even quicker though.
meera0108ParticipantI applied for my sons first passport on 17th March. Documents were signed for by 22nd March but not acknowledged on system till 5th April. Then yesterday 19th April I got a message to say Application Approved and they will met me know when it will be dispatched. So took 4 weeks to get from submission to approval. I’m guessing another couple weeks fro printing and recieving. Which makes 6 weeks about right, but I think that’s if everything goes smoothly! We fly June 1st so I was also very worried that if we got stuck in the processing stage we would be in trouble but thankfully they must hate for everything they need from my documents.
meera0108ParticipantThankyou! Good luck. I hope you don’t get to that stage though as you have been very organised so early on.
meera0108ParticipantSo crazily I’ve literally just had a text this very minute to say our application has been Approved and they will let me know when it will be dispatched. I had to send my application to the Liverpool office though. I really hope yours sorts out soon. This is a big weight of my mind tbh as we fly on June 1st which is only 6 weeks away now.
meera0108ParticipantI agree I have very little faith in the system after reading all the posts too so panicking a bit to be honest. I’ve only been on documents recieved since 5th April and then we had the bank Holiday in the middle to.
meera0108ParticipantHow long has it been since you applied for the passports? So really it’s actually 14/15 weeks for your passport to be ready then if it’s 10 weeks from when documents are scanned in. Utterly ridiculous! Some of us applied before the 10 weeks wait was mentioned so it just seems very unfair to be honest.
meera0108ParticipantI’m in exactly the same position. My sons first passport has been waiting at documents recieved since April 5th. I submitted the application on March 17th. It’s just so unacceptable to be honest. The stress of it all is consuming me! We travel on June 1st so it gave us 11 weeks leeway from when I applied. Urgh.
meera0108Participant@tillybobs how many weeks did it take to get your passport from submission to print please?

April 18, 2022 at 9:07 am in reply to: Average time between documents delivered and registered as received? #12591meera0108ParticipantIt took 11 working days for the docs to be approved on the system so that’s like just under two weeks. Not quite 3-4 weeks although that may be the case for some perhaps. The waiting game Is definitely stressful either way
April 17, 2022 at 8:02 pm in reply to: Passport in maiden name- child first passport in married #12583meera0108ParticipantHey, would this not mean that your details on your passport will not match the details you’ve submitted on the application form hence confusing them? From personal experience I know how very particular they are about this stuff!
April 16, 2022 at 3:51 pm in reply to: Average time between documents delivered and registered as received? #12548meera0108ParticipantYeah I just find it’s a bit unfair as documents can be signed for the day after you send them yet it can take them from 1-3 weeks to acknowledge your documents which isn’t our fault yet we have to suffer in a way especially if you have a holiday booked.
April 16, 2022 at 9:10 am in reply to: Average time between documents delivered and registered as received? #12537meera0108Participant@tillybobs – have you had any more updates? I too have submitted for a first childs passport on 17th March. Documents recieved 5th April (11 working days after they were signed for) no more updates since.
