Ahh that’s great news for you guys. Really hope mine progresses soon as I go away on 15th of April.
My passport was approved on 17.03.2022. Does anybody know how long I could be looking at before I actually receive my passport?
How long after peoples passports were approved were they delivered? Mine has just been approved today( very relieved) but I travel 4 weeks tomorrow and had booked in an emergency appointment next Thursday. So just checking 4 weeks will be enough for them to send and print it, or if I should stick with my emergency appointment
Amy93 – you would like to think it is as straight forward as that, but I have little faith.

So I posted a few weeks ago with the following time line, following a ‘lost’ passport application. I know the current turn around is 5 weeks and I am on week 4 today, but I am beginning to become increasingly worried that I won’t have my passport back in time for travel on the 15th of April. They have told me it is with the examiner but it just doesn’t seem to be progressing despite being a straight forward application. Is anyone else in a similar position to me? Also, they have said I could cancel this passport and use the fast track service given that my passport was lost and no documents have been sent it, however, it is not clear if they would need to receive my letter with drawing this current application, before they can start my fast track one. Can anyone shed some light on this please ?

Can anybody help me who has or is in a similar situation to me… I applied for a new passport on 14.02.2022 after loosing my old one and it has been sat at application being processed since 18.02.2022. I know the gov website says the current turn around on average is 4 weeks, which takes me up until next Friday but I am mindful that I travel on 15.04.2022 and it is getting closer to that date. I rang customer service today and they said it is at the printing stage but that they couldn’t tell me anymore and also said it is at Liverpool, which is now slightly worrying given that them seem to be having lots of problems. I think I read on here that you can cancel your application and do the fast track service, just wondered if this would be an option for me as I am supposed to be going on my hen do and really don’t want to miss it. Can anybody help?
