    We fly the Sunday 5th and still nothing also , passport application with Durham… got told to expect a call as late as 48hours before , however I’ve been told the upgrade team not working the jubilee ? So I really don’t know what to expect!! Going out of my mind 🙁

    How many weeks were you if you don’t mind me asking mine is 6 weeks next Tuesday 🙁 … oh no ! If I manage to get mine we’re also flying with easy jet .. it’s just one thing after another ! It really is.

    I’m so pleased for you … I stay hopeful for my upgrade I’m due to travel on the 5th , can I ask why was it they said you didn’t qualify when you went to the office ?? x

    Can I ask has anyone gone to there office before the 48hours of travel 72hours say ? And been successful in obtaining a passport??

    It’s so stressful , I can barely sleep now … we fly on the 5th also , I’ve been told I’ll get a call back but could be as late as 48hours before but with the jubilee I’m simply not risking it , if I don’t hear by Tuesday night I’m heading to our nearest one Wednesday in the hope I may have a passport … I the last thread the lady said that they were turning people away 5 days still left that will be 4 plus the bank holidays ect I’m hoping and praying they will help me. Maybe do the same lovely to add I did also contact my MP who spoke with them and they said they are actioning my upgrade but again could be 48hours before I get a call. Good luck keep us updated

    All I can say is you must be extremely lucky .. to get a call back and get approved straight away – did you ask if you could not collect it instead of them posting it out? We travel 5Th and still awaiting any call.

    Awww I’m so pleased for your friend !! What a relief ! But also unimaginable stress at the same time 🙂 I hope you all have a lovely holiday now

    Right I’ve had to get my Mp involved yesterday as I am so distressed after hearing this new 6 week rule that people keep saying about the upgrade… my MP chased it this morning and come back to me also this morning and advised me the upgrade team are actioning my upgrade , but I may have to wait as late as 48 hours before for a phone call , which I’m not doing either … if I haven’t heard anything by Tuesday evening I’m heading to our local passport office and chasing it down there and won’t leave without one .. I’m not risking the bank holidays as we travel on the Sunday…. I suggest you do the same chase any Avenue to help speed it on.
    And let me know .

    That’s gutting I’m in the same position…. Yet to hear but it’s probably going to be the same outcome what was your date of application?

    Yeah I understand that , it’s so draining and the fact not one advisor has told me this , obviously things happen like needing one urgently or losing a passport ( my case) and many other peoples that already have a holiday booked mine has been booked since a year ago ..
    I’m gutted no one has told me this before… after thinking I have some sort of hope .. that’s all been lost now and to top it off I can’t change my holiday either:(

    this isn’t being clearly explained to people … all I’ve been asked for previously is the date of my application… which is currently 5 weeks – for a lost passport, I’m awaiting a call back as we travel in 12 days and this hasn’t been explained and I only spoke with someone yesterday from the progress team. Anyone had any luck with a upgrade less than 6 week old application?? I could actually cry now if that is the case

    Trying not to give up hope …

    How are people finding out about this new rule I’ve spoke to multiple progress teams this past week who haven’t mentioned nothing about a 6 week rule ? If that’s the case then Its been 5weeks for me as I lost my old passport ..this holiday has been booked a year 🙁 we travel in 12 days and I won’t be getting it then ? 🙁
