    @zman224 Call 0300 105 0850 to chase the upgrade. They can try and add a note for a nudge. They are really leaving it to the last minute for some folks. So stressful.

    Ok friends I am en route to collect my printed passport from London so sorry for any typos as I’m on my phone.

    I fly out tonight and Durham approved my upgrade this morning and I will collect from the London office.

    For those still waiting, unless you receive the email from the no reply post room address, consider your requested unlogged. Call the main advice line and ask to be out through to the processing team. Confirm which office your passport application is at and ask THEM to put the upgrade in for you. They can do this. You should immediately receive the no reply email to resend your travel evidence. Then an acknowledgement email.

    Unfortunately you may have to wait until up to 48 hour before your travel to get the call if you are eligible. I got called on my day of travel.

    In the meantime, call every day to ensure the notes are being updated ( 0300 105 0850). I was not charged for the upgrade.

    You will get your call but ensure it’s on their radar and they are processing it, evidenced by the notes on your file. It should say, evidence seen, processing etc. the CSM will tell you the exact status.

    I am so grateful for this forum because without it I’d be waiting in limbo.

    I called the main line early this morning and asked for the processing team, was put through to a nice lady who put my upgrade in again for me when I’ve been told for 10 days I had to do this myself. I then got the post room email asking for my evidence and then Durham acknowledged with the generic we’ve noted your date email but with my actual date in the body of the email.

    Fingers crossed I get a call today else I am up to Durham tomorrow. I’ll keep the forum posted.

    @France22 I’m going to try London today where I live and is all else fails. I’m off to Durham tomorrow. I am so confused as my evidence is clear and my application was simply a name change, now even an expired passport either.

    I’m going to pay the hundred odd pound train fare to go to Durham tomorrow. @thankgoodness For those who had success visiting Durham, what do you say to staff to get seen? Want to ensure I don’t waste the journey and get turned away. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Just spoke to someone on the processing team and they are adamant that my call was not from the upgrade team but the advice line. So I have not been contacted despite originally travelling tomrrow. @shahaed1990 what number did they call from? Was it withheld? I am being told the processing team can’t contact the upgrade team or make notes to them, which is strange as some folks have had assistance with this. I really hope I get a call today or Monday as I am beyond stressed by this whole process. It actually disgusting they way this process lacks transparency and why it is so inconsistent.

    @AngadSingh1. Not yet, on hold and have my main line attached to me waiting. Changed my Flight to Tuesday, so hoping to be called today. Stressed is an understatement. I’ll go to the London office on Monday if not.

    I missed my call and the team on the phones said they can’t contact them. It seems they outsource this part and there is no contact number. I missed my call and was told to email stating I missed the call. I am due to fly Sunday but have moved my flight to Tuesday in hopes they sort it out for me. I am devastated. I missed the call whilst calling the advice line/progress team.

    By a cruel twist of fate, it looks like I missed their call whilst on hold with the main advice line. I am screwed if they don’t call me back by EOB today. I got a call from a Telecoms company and a voicemail was left. You can make this up. I’ve emailed again.

    Thank you! I’ve sent it again but can’t get to the London office but will turn up tomorrow. Beyond stressed. People travel tomorrow have already got their call.
