Well after 10 weeks, many phone calls and a whole lot of stress!! Our daughters passport has arrived this morning.
Ours went to Durham office.
Our time line was:
Application made: 30/1
Documents received 18/2
Application processing 21/2
More documents requested 16/3
Application changed to paper application 1/4
Documents received 4/4 – Durham
Approved 4/4
Printed 5/4
Delivered 8/4Would recommend if you are near 10 weeks ring them up and hurry them along, ours was approved within hours after waiting 2 hours to speak to someone and him sending the examiner a direct message on the 4th.

I did 2 renewal for lost passports on the 30/1 – mine came back in 3 weeks and my daughters has just been printed but hasn’t been delivered yet ( week10 now). I think at the moment it’s just the luck of draw. I hope it doesn’t take too long for you.
Jb22f – it took them ages to tell us we need to send a full birth cert. Applied 30/1 and got the letter 16/3. I don’t get why it takes so long for them to let us know.

Amirun87 – I rang up Friday as soon as it went to paper application, as didn’t understand why it had done this. We got put on the list for call back.
Monday someone rang us and escalated it to the examiner. With both application numbers. Later in the day I got the 10 weeks text . Rang again and waiting 2hrs for the processing team and he told me that it had been escalated to a manager and it was approved within hours and gone straight to central print.
I’m not sure wether it’s because we were at the 10 weeks mark already or not.Passportwait- I’m not to sure no one could work out why we had been given a second application number for the passport. So they had to link it to the original and escalate it. Which was approved and sent to print within 6 hours.
Jb22f – I know how you feel, we’ve just been told our daughters is printing after 10 weeks of being messed around. On Friday we got a notification saying it had moved from online application to paper application and got a text saying we would have to wait Another 10 weeks!!
Numerous calls and long waits it got sent to management and approved within hours. I hope you have some luck and get it back before your holiday. XOh It’s such a shame, Ive seen a lot of proplems with TNT once it’s been printed. the system is so bad!! We sent 3 off on the 30/1 – mine came back – 3 weeks later – my oldests 4 weeks later.
My youngest is only now getting printed, after many phone calls and being messed around. Yesterday was 10 weeks.
It was ruining the build up to our holiday from all the stress.
They don’t make anything simple.So on Friday we received a notification our online application had been changed to a paper application, We got a phone call today from the processing team who told me my daughters replacement passport should be done this week as we are now at 10 weeks and he would send a message to the examiner to say we fly in 3 weeks , along with our to application numbers we have and said it will be done by the end of the week. I’m now at 2 hour wait on the phone to speak to someone because I received a text saying they had received my application and it will be completed in the next 10 weeks!!
So Fumming and fed up with the stress of all this now!!
10 weeks ago I put the application in along with 2 others and they were stress free and back over a month ago!Finally had a call back today!!
We have been waiting for our daughters since 30/1 and we fly in 3 weeks.
We’ve been told it is still with an examiner, but they have sent a note to that examiner to let him know how long we have been waiting and that it was only meant to be a replacement, along with all the lost passport number, online application number and then the paper application they moved it to on Friday!! as it’s taking so long.
He has said it should be done by the end of this week. (Fingers crossed).We sent 3 off 30/1 , we’re still waiting for our youngests we flying in 25 days. Waiting for a phone call as my online application has not changed to paper and I can’t track it.
This passport stuff is stressful, we are on week 9. 10 on Sunday!! and today got an update my daughters passport can no longer be tracked online, as it’s been moved to a paper application instead. But the helpline can’t find either applications AGAIN! So once again I’m waiting for a call back from someone to explain to me why this has happened and when it will be completed.
Just under 4 weeks until we travel. The stress is ruining the build up!!Clairet1233- i just got an update today that said we have moved your application to from online to paper so you can know longer track it online.
We were told Wednesday it was already with an examiner, as they requested the additional documents, they was waiting for the birth cert and countersign form and it’s now been moved to paper application and I’m not sure why or how much longer that adds on xxMy closest is Peterborough ours is at Durham, we only found out because we needed to send additional documents xx
Aat66 – we rang the day before twice and she said someone would ring us back but we missed the call so I rang back an hour later and they put me in the que to speak to the processing team.
We are currently in week 9 we spoke to someone yesterday and have been told it’s with an examiner there just waiting for them documents to be uploaded and looked at.
