21churchil21 – tnt may have received it but it still is not ready to be dispatched until sorted. Let us know if changing the delivery date helped.
I had an option to change a delivery date to today and I didn’t as I didn’t want to mess it up. It’s showing on their system that’s scanned by my local depot this morning at 4:30 am. After trying for over an hour to get through to someone from TNT (other than their unhelpful bots), I spoke to a lady who called the depot for me (they don’t give you a number) and arrange a collection for today! She gave me their address and all details what I need to bring (and driving licence is not a proof of address according to them, they require ID + a printed utility bill). When I got to the depot they told me they did receive the passport and it’s with them but it’s in a cage with thousands of other passports and they have no sorters on the site so they cannot access my passport. Hence rebooking their delivery to an earlier day would also have been pointless for me. Of course your depot may have a different situation- fingers crossed.
One other thing for anyone, tnt claims that they process the passports as soon as they get it from HMPO, it’s the passport office that takes time to send the documents after printing. Hard to say where the truth is but that would explain why we don’t see our passports on their system for a few days after they were printed.
So, I’m still waiting and praying tnt will actually deliver on Monday as per the current status on their site.
SokolkaParticipantI finally can see the passport on the TNT website with a delivery date of Mon, 28th March. Passport printed on 22nd March after 1pm. It lets me rearrange a redelivery for tomorrow but I’m scared to even try in case I will make it worse. No message from tnt and I can’t see it on their main website using their own references number. I guess it’s a different system. At least there is a realistic chance it will be in time for travel. I will try to collect it tomorrow from them.
I rang the passport office today and although they’re very nice, as always nothing could be done. They kept putting me through to the customer services but that just goes to a call back.
What’s interesting is that they now say it takes a few days before TNT collects it (not as before next day). Also, before they were advising that it takes 8 days to mark on their system that documents are received, now they say it takes two weeks. The time has almost doubled since last month.
SokolkaParticipantStp- I was waiting for documents received notification 17 days! Then 3 more days for the approved status and 5 days for print.
SokolkaParticipantI’m also still waiting for a tracking update, mine was printed on Tuesday, 22nd at 1:38 pm. 4 days left to holidays…
SokolkaParticipantMy application was approved on 18th March, printed on 22nd March. Still waiting for any news on the delivery… no tracking available yet. 🙄 Looks like it’s taking longer and longer for TNT to pick it up.
SokolkaParticipantSunshine- thank you so much, it’s still showing as an error but I will keep checking. 🙏🏻
SokolkaParticipantAlso, has anyone selected a secure delivery option? How long did you wait for your passport to be sent? Is it still TNT? I’m going out of my mind, flying on 30th March 🙁
SokolkaParticipantMy Child’s passport was approved on 18th March and printed on 22nd of March at 1:38pm.I still haven’t received anything from TNT and when I check on their website from the link in the text message, it just says it’s an error. How do you enter the tracking number on TNT, do you enter PEX letters in front of the number? Thank you
SokolkaParticipantHi Everyone, thanks so much for all the updates you are posting, got me both terrified and hopeful but at the end of the day it makes the journey easier together and gave me lots of ideas what else I can do to get the passport, such as knowing that having an email confirmation about returning the supporting documents means nothing and it’s better to send a letter, which I did immediately.
Just wanted to post here a note to possibly give you some hope. I applied 23rd Feb for my child’s renewal. They got my supporting documents on 25th Feb, not marked until 14th March (after I actually called and third time I called someone actually bothered to take my details on the Advice Line). Documents received about 30 minutes later although it’s hard to say if the call made a difference or it was a coincidence after 17 days wait!
In the last three days I called (still waiting for a call back from the customer services), submitted an online enquiry (still waiting 48 hours later), send them a letter (only yesterday so they haven’t received it yet) and wrote to MP in the act of desperation (but he also hasn’t received it yet as it was after office hours last night). Holidays booked for 30th March and they have my daughter’s Polish passport on which I was hoping to travel, naively thinking they would return it first.
Anyway, received the ‘application approved’ last night (after 3 days after documents received) so feeling a bit more hopeful now. Fingers crossed 11 days will be enough to print and post the passport! So if yours is straight forward application, there is a chance it will be approved quickly.
Best of luck Everyone and thanks for sharing your journeys.
