It’s such a stupid system. They should assign you to the one with the least workload, seems they currently just assign a random one?
Reading about so many people sending it to one, them taking weeks to process the post, then they send it the length of the country because they have too many to deal with, adding more weeks of them processing post.Retep – have you tried contacting them at all? I used their online form but haven’t heard anything back (they say 72 hours and I sent it around 70 hours ago).
My partner sent a renewal on the 1st to Durham had new passport in hand on the 17th. So frustrating waiting longer for them to open a letter than he did in total.

They’ve now had my documents for 18 days (14 working days) and not logged, has anyone else been waiting/waited that long?Croftk – I applied on the 5th, they received docs on the 8th and still haven’t logged them.
I can let you know when they have, although from the sounds of it it might just be luck of the draw who’s get opened first
First time posting,
Applied for my first adult passport on 5th march, confirmed ID and sent the documents on the 5th (annoyingly a Saturday so post office waited until Monday to process and delivered Tuesday)
Signed for by them at 10am on the 8th but still not showing on application now over 10 working days later.Not sure if it’s too soon to start worrying but my other half pushed to book a holiday 11 weeks after application (their website said 4 weeks wait at the time with the “allow up to 10”). Having a timeframe I can’t help but worry that the easiest part of opening and logging a letter is taking so long.
Has contacting them actually helped anyone at the send documents part?
Or has anyone else sent their documents around the same time that have been processed?
