    I’ve bitten the bullet and emailed the Durham upgrade team with the details provided on here because the agents wouldn’t give us the details over the phone. I’m hoping we get something from it I’ve received an automated email back so that seems like a good sign!

    We applied for x2 childrens passports and we are awaiting contact from the upgrade team as we fly 2 weeks today. We are worried as my partner has full parental responsibility of the kids but on the application it asked for the mums details, they have said what we have provided so far was sufficient which was birth certificates but I worry that at last minute they will require more from us. They don’t have any contact with the mother so I’m hoping that they won’t ask for anything from her, the government website wasn’t that useful as it said the provide a court order but there isn’t one in place. I don’t think there should be any issues if my partner has parental responsibility of both children and is named on both birth certificates surely!! I hope to hear something soon!!

    I spoke with someone this morning who advised they had sent another email to the upgrade team to get someone to contact me as we fly 2 weeks today but so far nothing and I’ve been expecting the call for 3 days. They agent was lovely but I’m just getting the same information over and over again with no call backs

    I’m losing the will to live don’t know what more I can do to try and get someone to call me from the upgrade team lol

    I’ve been promised a call back for 3 days now and each time I’ve called back after not receiving one they advised I was never on the call back list! Also advised today when I called that I was being put through to the upgrade team and waited 45 minutes to be told I’d been put through to a different agent and that they couldn’t pass people through it had to be a call back. The agent on the phone was really nice and really apologetic about all the false promises and said he’d sent an email and marked it as urgent as we are within the 2 week period. We fly May 19th can anyone advise if there is anything further I can try both passport applications are with Durham?? Please help

    I don’t think there is, I’ve searched and searched and cannot find anything!

    Every experience I’ve had with the customer service agents has been shocking and really rude, I just want to get through to someone helpful but getting in touch with someone is like waiting for pigs to fly. I wouldn’t mind being on hold but it’s getting cut off all the time!

    We are in the same boat we are awaiting X2 first children passports. We applied at the beginning of March and we fly on 19th May we have only recently gone into the processing stage and we are freaking out!

    Assuming we will have to wait until the 2 week date for the upgrade service assuming it will be available for us!

    Fingers crossed for everyone!
