    Well thankfully it happened while I was at work I got the call from an unknown number, it was a lovely woman from the Durham office and she was phoning me to say that my upgrade has been approved and I can come to collect my passport at the Durham office tomorrow. I am so relieved as I am meant to fly on the 1st of June. Still wishing others have the same luck as me. I know how awful it is to wait for the call.

    I’ve originally contacted the Durham
    Upgrade team on the 18th of may as I’m due to fly 1st of June and got the automated response but 9 days later I’m still waiting for a call from them

    Hello everyone.
    I’m at bit of a loss here. I am due to travel on the 1st of June, sent my application in on the 24th of March and the passport has been processing since the 5th of April. Ladtb Wednesday I contacted the durham update team as I was made aware of it and send in an email with proof of travel and got the automated response saying I’d hear back within 48 hours, it has been an entire week and the only call backs I’m getting is from the advice line, everytime I phone and get through I get told, “we’re no longer going by the 48 hours and you just have to wait for a phone call,” but the call has not come. Stressed is not even the word

    Hello everyone,
    I’ve been watching this forum for about a week although it’s my first time posting. I sent in my application for a replacement passport on the 24th of March and hadn’t received the text to say my application had been received. I travel on the 1st of June and was made aware of the upgrade team earlier on last week and was allowed to start the process of upgrading on Wednesday as its two weeks until the holiday. After the call I got the email from the post room email address and then I sent in all the required information (name, passport application number, contact details and proof of travel) to the durham upgrade team where my application is and got the automated response. It has been 4 days since I got those automated responses and I still haven’t had the upgrade team call back to take payment or progress the application further. If it wasn’t for this forum I feel like I would have had a nervous breakdown by now but seeing some of the other positive posts have helped. I’m just being hopeful I’ll get lucky too. Wishing everyone the best of luck and sorry for rambling on.
