This means your passport is being reviewed by an examiner. You will be in queue to get reviewed and any additional information if needed requested at a later date.
The timeframe for an examiner is current looking at between 4-8 weeks.
I would prepare your fast track/upgrade application email and details and send it through on your 15th day prior to the flight.
tomfromausParticipantThere’s two routes it takes.
Documents Received > Approved
(Usually 2 business days after marked as received)Documents Received > Processing > Approved
(This process requires an examiner to review your application for errors/confirm it’s validThe processing queue varies depending on offices and can take up to 10 weeks in some cases.
If you are due to travel in 14 days, seek an upgrade or log on to the Premium Service queue at 8AM on the dot and you’ll be added to a queue to book a premium service.
tomfromausParticipantI spoke to web chat and he said it’s just waiting for examination. There’s nothing I can do from Australia, only an emergency travel document but that only allows 5 transit countries and my trip is more. It’s just a waiting game right now. Thank you for the support though
tomfromausParticipantI’m definitely in processing as it says Processing Application 11th of May 7:53AM
I can’t see an automatic approval that’s taken 6 days before. I spoke to web chat and they said it’s waiting for an examiner but I’m utterly confused as it’s a renewal through web and they won’t need to verify anything. So so so worried and hurting.tomfromausParticipantAnyone have any updates in regards to the manual review of passports at the Liverpool office?
Mines in processing and wondering if anyone has a processing stage success story other than 6-8 weeks.
tomfromausParticipantIt’s in processing. So confused why they need to manually review my information when most renewals are automatic.
I will end up not getting it back in time if it takes 4-6 weeks as I have a flight on June 20th and postage takes 7 working days from UK. Goodbye to $12000 and last time to see my grandfather as he’s unwell.
What sort of backing do you have to confirm the 4-6 week manual review?
tomfromausParticipantMine is clearly in the manual queue as I can see automatic is approved in a maximum of 2 business days.
I live in Australia and travel in 6 weeks now. Will need them printed and sent in a maximum of 4 weeks.
The stress is setting in.
