    Right now it should be made really clear that the passport being despatched is not the end of the race. TNT decided to move my delivery date forwards two days the evening before the day it was due to be delivered. This would have made me miss my flight. I raised a ticket on the 15th November telling them I could not wait until the 17th. I got a generic “There’s nothing we can do as we’re experience delays” email. I then called the automated helpline on 03456080630 which doesn’t at first appear to let you speak to a human. However I got round this my saying a load of incoherent gibberish when it asked me for my consignment number. After 3 attempts it will then transfer you to an agent. 53 minutes later, I’m greeted my Stella at FedEx/TNT helpdesk. She was actually fantastic. I explained my situation and she got my passport escalated as critical and it was delivered today. Less than 24hrs after my call. It seems that TNT are having severe issues delivering passports right now so if you find your date getting pushed back, try the technique above and prepare to hold for a while. Good luck folks!
