Hi all, we had a simple child renewal which took 22 days. Application submitted 28 July, Docs received 2 Aug, it went straight to approved (no Processing stage) on 17th Aug, passport received on 19th Aug by TNT (we paid the extra £5 for recorded delivery).
Nothing was happening by day 16 so I went on Twitter and wrote a general post and a DM, and I think that worked/helped as we were approved the next day. So definitely do that, and allow an extra 5 or 6 days to the average shown of 16.8 days overall. CheersOh wow that’s great that yours got approved, congrats. So how long is that from docs received? i.e. how many days for you from docs received to approval today? Thanks
Sorry just 2 more things:
– what is the number to call to follow up on the application? Some people seem to have luck doing thst.
– does Bootle/Liverpool get all the foreign applications, i.e. from outside the UK?

We submitted a child renewal application on 28 July, and docs received 2 Aug. But it has been stuck on that ever since, 14 days now.
@haifever is yours a straightforward application or is there some complexity? We are days after you, but we are due to fly next week on 24th Aug.
Does anyone know what are the stages expected after Documents Received, and how long it should take from that to receiving the passport in the post?
The average of 16 days shown on this site is today for me….
